I feel like Nick Wayne is a good example of “trusting the process.” He was introduced young, ate pins. Got into The Patriarchy, a nice long term mid-card storyline. Got a belt in ROH and two tours to Japan for Battle of the Super Jrs. Now he’s fighting Jericho, a world champ. Sometimes it works.
