We are doing this to model what @breesebbusyphd.bsky.social's students might do. We wrote a prompt to create a Writing Partners that simulates Dr. Dickens. Dr. Bonnee can use this AI simulator as a mentor as she continues her curriculum and teaching with her students. 3/ #EduSky #EduSkyAI #AIinEdu

Earlier in the day @breesebbusyphd.bsky.social sent me a note asking where the Critical Lens Writing Partners were. She had helped to create these AI simulators last Spring based on Deborah Appleman's Critical Encounters in Secondary English: Teaching Literary Theory to Adolescents, 4th ed, 2023.

A thought I had at #NCTE24: Businesses are using customized AI platforms, not the commercial chatbots. Don’t our students deserve the same customized support? Using the tech companies tools doesn’t prepare them for the future, it just introduces them to another attention grabbing trap.
