Middle aged fan of many things geeky, in particular films, boardgames and RPGs. Will keenly talk about such with those who can put up with occasional nonsensical mutterings. Pro Ukraine, anti fascist.

I think what needs to be seen is the increasing strength of Ukraine on the ground and the corresponding increasing losses of the RU military. The rest of the world needs to understand that Ukraine can and will win this war and that they need to stop letting fear of Russia shape their decisions.

Standard operating procedure for Russia when they are doing badly on the battlefield, as they increasingly are, is to commit war crimes. It is their one consistent strategy. Ukraine has proven time and again that it's a failure of a strategy: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Yeah. It's the nukes. It's kind of weird that people claim Russia has no working nukes and yet can't provide an answer as to why a conventionally stronger NATO hasn't taken them on militarily yet. The fear from the outset was that things would turn nuclear. It's why Biden was so cautious with aid.

They will absolutely love the idea of the US invading other countries unless they start taking significant military losses. That's always super unpopular. For this reason the Trump administration will use economic warfare first and also pick what they consider soft targets for regime change.

Russia has nuclear weapons. If they didn't they would have been hammered by NATO within hours of crossing Ukraine's border. Maduro himself is irrelevant. The problem is that Trump has rendered international law meaningless and has been emboldened to the point he's likely to attack somewhere else.
