DC panel has (again) BLOCKED Judge Boasberg from investigating possible criminal contempt by DOJ and DHS officials, including Judge Bove, in connection with sending Venezuelans to CECOT against his order. (I can't access full ruling yet.) Panel: Judges Rao (Trump) Walker (Trump) & Childs (Obama)

My AI use case this wk: Using JGG v Trump docket to present colleague with a Sims-inspired infographic tracing status of CECOT migrants removed under Alien Enemies Act, & subject to a complex fact pattern in last 12 mo. Some flaws of course, & I'm pretty sure 00.2% of them will get it. But still!

Remarkable statistic in a govt filing a week ago: 75% of all new civil cases filed in the Western District of Texas in Jan. 2026 were immigration habeas cases (requests for release from custody). In all of 2024, they composed < 3% of civil filings. 1/3 www.documentcloud.org/documents/26...

President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Ukraine and the U.S. are 90% of the way toward an agreement to end the war with Russia. Within the 10% still in dispute is who will control Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.

Why a Nuclear Plant Is a Big Sticking Point in the Ukraine Peace Plan
The Zaporizhzhia plant, occupied by Russia, would be crucial to powering Ukraine’s postwar recovery.
