Playoffs Finals: 0-2 (-4) vs Rotterdam Clangarangs - the first true rematch; while on paper I have a lot of offensive answers, they don't accomplish that goal safely. In trying to mitigate that I played too conservatively (and unlucky) and finished in 2nd place www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewqK...

Playoffs Semis: 2-0 (+6) vs Cargoon Network - this team has several ways to completely outspeed my roster, and Mega Beedrill is a huge threat. That leaves one solution: Trick Room, and some means of trying to trade kills with it - Goodra and Meowstic are the key www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ee2E...

Playoffs Quarters: 2-0 (+5) vs eat rock - big defensive week for Tentacruel and Aggron, with the usual offensive pieces taking a cleaner role. Plenty of threats that outspeed my team and can threaten heavy damage, but key coverage and speed management prevails www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyHQ...

Playoffs Eighths: 2-1 (+5) vs Lava Chicken - this matchup put more focus on the offensive potential of the mid-statted, bulkier duo in Rotom-Heat and Tentacruel, both capable of Z-move OHKOs on Tapu Fini. Also features the first terrain "war" of the season... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kr_C...

Week 8: 2-0 (+6) vs Love the Game - Aegislash poses a strange builder challenge, as both breaking it and surviving it are not straightforward. Pheromosa finally gets to click a status move other than Protect, as well as pick up a handful more kills than it had been www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOd_...

slug @breadstickslug.nekoweb.org · 19/06/2025

Week 7: 2-0 (+5) vs Slipcott - Tapu Lele was immediately killed by a surprise Z-move, but Meowstic-F was able to show its support chops again and it turns out that Goodra is really fat, leading to rare slow, grindy games as opposed to the blazing fast other ones www.youtube.com/watch?v=v349...

slug @breadstickslug.nekoweb.org · 19/06/2025

Week 6: 2-0 (+4) vs The High Rollers - a turn 1 opponent misclick led to a relatively straightforward game 1, while game 2 saw Pheromosa die immediately to set up the swamp, but double-attacking and some key opposing build choices still allowed for victory anyway www.youtube.com/watch?v=m7LI...

slug @breadstickslug.nekoweb.org · 05/05/2025

Week 5: 2-1 (+4) vs Freaky Furfrou - big week for scarf Tapu Lele and Aggron, as well as a great display of the utility Meowstic-F is capable of, with Fake Out both in and outside of terrain plus a surprise Trick Room tech. Sandslash was threatening, but we made it www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWKs...

slug @breadstickslug.nekoweb.org · 05/05/2025

Week 4: 2-0 (+4) vs [untitled team name] - a bit of a better display of the support-oriented mons on the team, Slurpuff (and Carnivine) helps to enable the insane power that the rest of the team packs. Pheromosa was even able to kill with a Z-move through Protect www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLD6...

slug @breadstickslug.nekoweb.org · 05/05/2025

Week 3: 2-0 (+6) vs Team Sega Bass Fishing 2 - a very fast set with almost entirely OHKOs on both sides. Game 2 featured a fun tech in Snatching Tailwind from Fletchinder mid-way through the game, securing speed control and ensuring more clean, uncontested knockouts www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZwt...

slug @breadstickslug.nekoweb.org · 05/05/2025

Week 2: 1-2 (-5) vs Dancing In The Rain - offense into the Rain side of this team worked pretty well, but the Trick Room mode proved to be a problem. Good move choices and positioning Manectric well wins them the set in fairly decisive games 2 and 3 www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7zi...

slug @breadstickslug.nekoweb.org · 05/05/2025

Week 1: 1-2 (-1) vs Rotterdam Clangarangs - Scolipede and Kommo-o prove to be notable threats backed up by beefy support mons, even in the face of seemingly excellent typing coverage. Went back and forth until a clutch second Protect in a row saves them the set www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCQS...
