And the last piece, you'll notice a Delay variable. This is the variable setting for that in Warudo, it's just used to avoid weird stuff happening when quickly switching between OBS sources.

On the Warudo side, I was using the OBS connection plugin and Flowtools. You can see my nodes and OBS scene setup here.

Unfortunately, explaining this wouldn't fit the alt text limit. but I'm getting the head tracking from Get Media Pipe Tracker Data's Bone Rotation List,

decomposing the Quaternion of the Y rotation (horizontal rotation)

and then im using a math expression (x * 100 /9 - 0.1) where x= the Quaternion's Y axis output,

Using a Float Round node on the output of the Math Expression,

using an Integer Clamp with a min value of -2 and a max value of 2

And then taking that output and plugging it into the Input Integer of a Switch On Integer node,

I then use this with Toggle OBS Source Enable for each Switch on Integer output value that aligns with each OBS source of the different steps of rotation I rendered out.

Then I use a Debounce Flow node after each Toggle OBS Source Enable and connecting it to another Toggle OBS Source Enable with the Action value set to Disable.

The OBS side of the tracked stopmotion setup. There are 3 OBS scenes. the MAIN, IDLE and TALKING.

Main contains the IDLE and TALKING scenes and a hidden source of the microphone.

The microphone source has 2 Move Transition filters set to enable the IDLE and TALK scenes based on audio levels. This can be used for other OBStuber setups as well.

Then the IDLE and TALK scenes have the WEBM files of the 3d renders I use for the different head rotations that will be switched via the Warudo blueprint.

Inspired by @alpineshowtime.bsky.social (please check them out), last halloween I had a go at doing a head tracked stopmo model for streaming Midnight Walk. Used Warudo for the tracking and controlling OBS sources. Here's a timelapse of the process made on stream!

The zipper tie is a really nice design element! If you know Foxander than you also know that he really like Media Molecule games such as LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway. The zipper is a sort of throwback to the Sackboy design while also doing a good job to give a sense of scale to the puppet look.

Text: Ultimately this was a collaboration with Foxander. The Zipper Tie was part of the design concept he made and sent to me before I started to work on the model.

Text Continued: The shape of the zipper was adjusted and refined over the modeling process to ensure it looked right for the character.

Included are sketches of the Fantastic Mr Foxander character by Foxander.

Also included are screenshots and drawovers of images from the Fantastic Mr Fox movie as well as some image references of Foxander's character design.

To help answer some questions. The final result is 2D animated image files. Animated GIFs and Animated PNGs, often called APNGs (though the file type is still .png) hence calling it a PNGtuber. Final result is 2D, not a real-time 3d model. Sorry the showcase wasn't clear about that part...
