An off-duty cop tried to kill his wife by firing multiple rounds into her vehicle. He then fired at the cops who showed up. The cops fired back and killed him. This is how his precinct is memorializing him. I want to vomit. #ACAB www.wlwt.com/article/poli...

In a statement issued on Saturday afternoon after his death, the Florence Police Department called Zink a dedicated officer who served his community with honor throughout his career.

"On behalf of the entire Florence Police Department, it is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of Officer Dustin Zink," the department wrote in its statement. "Although Dustin was off duty at the time of this tragic incident, his commitment to serving others extended far beyond the uniform. He dedicated his career to protecting our community with honor, integrity, and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on the fellow officers and the citizens he served. While we cannot comment on the circumstances of this investigation, we believe one moment does not define a person."

"Today, our department is grieving alongside Officer Zink's family, friends and loved ones," the statement continued. "We ask our community to keep them, as well as the members of our department, in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time."

Visited some indie queer bookstores and got some new pins. In short, they rock.

Yeah, fuck the court and their “deepest sympathies”. Jane Doe was a fucking child.

The unidentified Jane Doe spoke about her fear of being outed as trans by having to access a single-sex restroom on campus in a court filing.

“It is scary having to look around before to see if anyone will see me going into the single-user restroom, as I worry about people gossiping and speculating about me being transgender,” Jane Doe said, per Idaho Education News. “I don’t want people to know I am transgender without my consent — even students who might be friendly. For me, it is not a part of myself I talk about or that I feel is the most important part of my identity.”

In a Tuesday filing, U.S. District Court Judge David Nye wrote that the court “expresses its sincerest sympathies to Jane Doe’s family.”

Indeed! Hooray for vets! When we adopted him 2 weeks ago, all we knew is his eyes were cloudy. We didn’t know why. But we knew whatever happened, we wanted to give him a safe, loving forever home. 💜

This brave man went to the kitty eye doctor today and did GREAT. We got some answers as to why his eyes are so cloudy, and a clear course of treatment. He will always have cloudy eyes, but he is healthy and loved. 💜

Update on this handsome man: he went to his first vet visit and did amazing. We had them examine his eyes and we came away with 2 meds and a referral to a kitty ophthalmologist. We knew this might be a possibility when we adopted him, and are ready to do whatever he needs to be happy and healthy.
