He also was well into his senior years- his braided hair and whiskers streaked silver from age- though he still maintained a powerful, naturally muscled physique. Furthermore, his open chested blue coat, elegant rapier, and spellcasting flourishes evoked the aura of fencers of eras long past.

As such he was easy to pick out from afar.

One night between matches, he happened to be wandering the various food and drink stalls. It was late hours during the middle of the week, so the usually bustling streets were lonelier than usual. Whilst nursing a beer at one particular stall, he was suddenly surrounded by a rowdy group of young men. Viera, Highlander, Elezen- familiar kinds of fellows if it weren't for their particularly loud hair colors and flashy, plasticine outfits. Though he was on guard at first, it wasn't hard for them to stoke his ego as 'admirers' of his. The drinks began to flow freely, and who was he to refuse such hospitality?

Unfortunately, it wasn't just alcohol in those drinks dulling his senses.

Official accounts of the matter declared that the Unehanced Warrior had vanished entirely- nowhere to be found. Fans of the Arcadion speculated some sort of foul play or contract issue, as that the ring narratives hadn't seen to anticipate such a twist. The scrambling to work in the surprise was obvious, to say the least.

His run and abrupt disappearance, to the general public's awareness, would just become another odd, dark enigma adding to the entertainment district's mystique.

However, those with seedier connections and appetite for illicit recordings eventually found the truth of that night...

The recording started with a static blip- the frame marked by targetting blips and a recording time and date- a week or so after the Unenhanced Champion's disappearance.

Grynewaht chuckled and spat in it just as his vision cleared. The older roegadyn snarled and made to hurl a volley of curses in return, but he found his deep voice halted and muffled by a cloth gag stuffing his maw.

"'fraid I don't much care for any more witty taunts from Eorzea's champion. Though you're making sound enough for this to be fun, that's for sure." He chuckeld darkly- his gauntlet's panels clanking as he roughly grabbed Brazen's braided hair and pulled back, hard.

Brazen's anguished, muffled voice piqued as Grynewaht leaned in and rasped his teeth over his exposed throat- scraping with his canines, dragging his tongue lewdly over his pulsing carotid. He trembled as the younger Roegadyn inhaled his scent- the lingering notes of cologne mingling with the harsher smells of sweat and blood.

Though his head was held back, he could hear the sound of a short blade being drawn. The metal pressed at the edge of his jaw. He tensed immediately- knowing it could all end right there. Grynewaht laughed cruelly- wrenching his head back further. The knife's finely honed edge sheared hairs from Brazen's fine white beard before painfully cutting into his cheek.

A crimson rivulet of blood trailed down his throat and into his chest hair. Grynewaht's tongue smeared the glistening line. Brazen's voice piqued again and he laughed again, jostling them both.

"/Oh/... This is going to be fun indeed..." He brought his face higher to mutter quietly in the older Roegadyn's ear in a menacing imitation of intimacy. His stubbled chin brushed lightly at Brazen's earlobe before he tugged at it with his teeth.

Brazen could feel the cool blade dragging down his neck, over the bump of his collarbone, and down to his chest. Those gauntleted hands yanked his coat open further- grasping at the satisfyingly solid muscle- rustling amongst the curled white hairs. There was a twinge of violence and possessiveness in that grasp- the fingers for a moment pressing with bruising force.

Grynewaht's breath quickened even further as he watched the blade slice a shallow path through Brazen's white chest hair. His pupils dilated as he felt his prey's heartbeat hasten and breath tighten as the edge crept closer and closer to the wrinked, dark flesh of his nipple. The edge drew a painful cut across that sensitive flesh- causing Brazen to shudder pointedly.

He moaned, dragging the knife down over the curve of the older Roegadyn's belly, more and more hairs drifting slowly to the ground amidst drops of bright red blood. With a skillful twist of his wrist, he cut past the buckle of Brazen's belt. He crooned, the hunger in him causing his voice to waver. "'Tis like unwrapping a nameday present, best one of all I'd say..."
