I don’t always trend hop but transfem spider-man is pretty neat

Three poses of Petra Parker Spider-Woman. Left is web swinging, bottom middle is in a crawling pose, right she has her mask and gloves off with an ice pack on her head and a speech bubble saying “where do these guys come from…?” The last is flat shaded while the others have heavy shadows

New spider-man movie is very cool👍 Here’s some old spidersona stuff I recently colored

Seven poses of a fat femme spider character in a tweaked version of classic red and blue costume jumping, web swinging, and sitting against blank yellow background

Six poses of less chubby femme spider character in slightly different webless costume with lighter colors. Some poses are inspired by Bengus art from Marvel vs Capcom

Artists! Show what built your style! I’ve shared a few already, here’s others who have been just as influential

Art by Alex Ross, marvel characters leaping into action toward the viewer

Art by Jamie Hewlett, his characters sitting together holding a label with his name for the cover of his art book

Art by Tim Sale, Catwoman fighting Batman from “The Long Halloween”

Art by Robert Valley, packed crowd shot of people dancing and partying

See a couple post a couple🧡🩵

Alma, a fat middle age woman with brown skin and dark hair with a gray streak, sitting on a couch pouring a glass of wine for Bellamy, a young thin man with light brown hair

Alma and Bellamy nude sitting on a large bed in a candlelit room. Alma is leaning on Bellamy from behind, resting her chin in his shoulder, groping his now larger breast and belly. Bellamy’s face is showing some strain

Bellamy sitting on Alma’s butt, giving her a massage at the beach. They both appear nearly nude in skimpy swimwear

Gift for @jdplaysmoth.bsky.social of her with her yautja OC. This was a really fun challenging piece to do

Jade, a brown hair woman with glasses topping a lactating Yautja alien from the Predator series in a matting press. Green glowing orbs on the Yautja’s armor slightly illuminate the two. They are on a bed in a dark metallic looking room of a space ship

The Character vs How You Draw Them

How did you draw your #OC back then and how do you draw them now? A couple of my gals from… a DECADE ago, and now

This is more a third party pick, but I’m forever blown away by Katsuya Terada’s promotional work from Nintendo Power Magazine during the early years

Besides Buscema, Bengus’s interpretation is also the best I’ve ever seen of the marvel characters. Naturally, the proportions are also perfectly suited for action and hero poses

My part of a trade with TheParon on DA, elderly Ilyana getting up from and overflowing a recliner

Marvel’s Magik as a fat elderly woman standing up from a recliner. She’s wearing black circular sunglasses, dark grey shorts over her belly, a small black tank top, one fingerless glove, compression leggings, and a bellybutton piercing. She has a large black cane with spikes

Elderly Magik with her belly exposed and no sunglasses

A much larger version of old Ilyana sitting back in her chair with her legs crossed. She is squeezed into the seat with her butt spilling over the armrests

BIGBIG’s work is a masterclass in anatomy, color, shading, composition, movement, and of course pushing those rules in a convincing and engaging way

I grew up studying “How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way” and John Buscema’s other marvel work before I even understood who he was, internalizing the way his linework convey gesture and energy. That’s my definitive version of those characters and I’m enjoying going back to check out his work on Conan

One of my all time faves, @dwn32.bsky.social blends extreme sizes and shapes with naturalistic shapes and movement in a way that scratches a particular itch in my brain. I even based an OC on their style and shapes! I also love the 80s and 90s style anime/manga influence in the faces

Brznbnc @brazenbounce.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

I definitely looked to Frank Frazetta to figure out anatomy and dynamic posing early on. Lately, I’m appreciating more his colors and shading, and have more affinity for his pulpy subject matter

Fun fact☝️🤓 Alex Ross pitched a similar idea where Barbara Gordon would regain use of her legs via Lazarus pit, slightly corrupting her personality into a more brutal vigilante. His design would later influence the look of Kate Kane Batwoman
