I wrote this scene Animated it Edited it (for HOURS) & *Still* I feel it so strongly Every time As both subject & spectator I want to reach in To an abstracted puppet barely longer than my small hand And tell them it's gonna be okay #Februarty #Artyear #Monochrome #BlueSkyArtShow #ProjectEsperanto
A still taken from a scene from "Esperanto x Keep Flying-198 Broadway"
The image is entirely In shades of grey and black. (Even the lighter shade is fairly dark ) A human figure is curled up in a defensive or fetal position implying pain, despair, fear, etc.
The figure is a jointed doll puppet made from simple shapes- ovals, oblongs, etc. While it is 3d, the shadows themselves are flat.
They have their hands covering their head and face. The figure has pitch black wounds or scars on its foream, lower leg, and (covered) face. These wounds have lines like lightning or tree roots stretching away from the edges.
They are lying on a stony cliff edge. At the edges of the image are blurry but jagged shadows encroaching, add though the figure was being swallowed by darkness.

For #Februarty, today we hop over to #BlueskyArtShow for #Monochrome "Nobody Wants a Black and White Sunrise" is the refrain of this song excerpt Working title: "Day/Break" Text in alt, because of character restrictions Uses the word "exsanguinated" because sometimes I'm Very Extra™️ #poetry #poem
This is poem titled Day/Break. Black text on a white background. Text reads:

DayBreak

They came flocking for the pictures they were promised (But they're all gone now)
Backdrop dripping with an elegance untarnished (That's been lost somehow)
Til the exsanguinated body of the Venus of your dreams
Washed up pale along the shoreline
And the silence there is deafening as screams

Because
Nobody wants a black and white sunrise (l know I tried)
There's hollow homeless pity in their eyes
Nobody wants a black and white sunrise
But all the colors drained away and they've been taken by
A strange relentless tide

So many dazzling days were born in stunning splendor (But they're all gone now)
Where the sky became the sun became the water (It's been lost somehow)
And so let's trip the light fantastic at the far edge of the world
Amid the noise of breaking records
we'll dance off the ledge where nothing can be heard

Without a dawn to make an ending of an everlasting day
No need to worry "bout tomorrow
With no light to guide the way

Because
Nobody wants a black and white sunrise (l know I tried)
There's hollow homeless pity in their eyes
Nobody wants a black and white sunrise
Because the color's washed away and it's been taken by
A strange relentless tide

Is it weird that my own songs play in my head when I want to offer (or seek) comfort? The one I find myself returning to most doesn't exist in recorded format yet, but here's a clip from "Captive, Audience" #music #songwriting

A dark image of the "The Orchard Record" album cover. Only the apples are visible from the original image. However several of the original highlights are affected with a bright glow-in-the-dark blue. The water bottle to the left of the image has glowing details, likewise the knife blade at the bottom center. The top right shows the corner of ceiling lit with glow, and highlights on the faces and bodies of the figures in the image.

2 Springs ago, years of "Someday??" became "Let's go." So many things could have (should have?) totaled this project. Who makes a vinyl of a No- Plan, 1st-Rodeo EP? BraveEye, Apparently. Absurd. Yet- here it is. #indie #folkpop #vinylrecord #indieartist #originalsongs #whatgenreisthis #90s #folk
This image is the sleeve of a vinyl record. Theta a real some in front of the sleeve, and a pale skinned hand holding the record in the lower left corner. In the image on the sleeve, in nthe foreground there is is a faux grantit countertop. On top of which there is a slightly scrunched bottle of water and half a cut apple with a couple pieces beside it. The apple is somewhat browned as though it was cut and forgotten for some time. A red Swiss Army knife with the large blade open, sharp side pointed away from the viewer,. is below the cut apple. .. and the blade is reflecting a small crescent of the underside of the apple.
In the dim background, two people illuminated by the blue glow of the laptop screen they are facing. The one further in the curve has darker skin and cheeky hair. He holds his hand to his ear and head his eyes closed as though listening intently. The other figure is lighter skinned and wears a half smile on her face and has one hand tangled in her wavy hair. The back of a vinyl record sleeve. Depicts a pink or orange seashell nightlight.
There is text. The first work at the top of the album is
"Braveeye" this is written in dark text with a bright yellow outline in a flourishing calligraphy font.
The next line, is in a flowing script fornt in shades of blue and white and reads
The Orchard Record
...
Lonely for the World 3:10
Blew a Fuse. 3:17
Hobson's Lake 2:22
Captive, Audience 2:48
Nighthawks 3:31
A small block of yellow text is unreadable in the image but includes credits and acknowledgements for the album.

The record is called "The Orchard Record," but the *painting* that was created for the album art is called "Midnight Oil" Digitally enhanced Acrylic Painting - 16" x 16" #originalart #indiemusic #diymusic #folkpop #handmademusic
Image shows a crowd painting. The brightly and warmly lit foreground shows a brown faux- granite contertop holding a partly empty and slightly crushed water bottle with a pale blue label. There's a cut apple -a half and two smaller slices, slightly browned - in the center of the counter. A red Swiss army knife sits open below the apple pieces. The blade, edge upwards, reflects the underside of the half apple. The dim blue- toned background shows a room.
The lines of floor, walls, and ceiling show a forced perspective.
To the left, a pink or orange scallop shell nightlight illuminates a small section of wall and casts a warm glow on the ceiling above.
Two figures sit at a table to the upper left- center. They are both heavyset. The one on the left has light skin and wavy hair, in which she has tangled her right hand. To the right is a figure with darker skin and curly black hair. He's wearing a pair of red headphones and listening with closed eyes. His left hand hand holds the headphones to his ear, his right hand is in the laptop in front of him. Both wear expressions of pleasant concentration. They are focused on a sticker- covered laptop, the light of which illuminates their faces and the corner of the room with a nlue glow. There is a box on the table - some kind of audio interface, with a large microphone plugged into it. The scene suggests they process of editing and recording music in a sparsely furnished space.
There are three windows, one behind the two figures and two along the upper right wall. The windows show a night sky, with an orange glow around the horizon that it's either dawn or dusk. There are leaves and apples outside, almost against the windows, barely lit by the dim glow inside the room. A dark blue couch - empty- fills the center right of the image.
