Review of the Rubber Soul deluxe 4 CD set / Blu-Ray surround mixes: "meh". It's not worth the price. Not enough rare material. We already have Rubber Soul US Stereo version on CD. The surround mixes are too subtle. I read the book once...I'm good. I'd rather play my DIY acapella.

I heard Dan Morfitt play this mashup of mine on @wfmu.bsky.social a few days ago, and it actually bugged me. When I did this in 2020, technology wasn't where it is now with stem separation. So, last night, I did a "George Lucas" and updated the mix. The full mix is in the Mashup area of my website.

The phonetic re-editing of Casey Kasem alone took three days (I did not want to use AI). Improved for 2026, here's Carpenter vs Adele.

I'm in prep to possibly do another May 9th "all Depeche Mode" Twitch DJ event. I'm currently separating & extending tracks that haven't been touched in decades. DISCLAIMER: This "See You" re-edit is literally just a stem split version of a CD rip of the CD single. No master elements were used.

"You shouldn't be selective. You'll get done for being a sexist." Honestly, I couldn't be prouder of the boys, fighting against a sexist KIIS FM jock in 1990. This interview, almost exactly 36 years ago to the day (!!!), is surreal. archives.depechemode.com/audio/radio/...

It amazes me that I can still come across things that I've never heard or seen before from Depeche Mode. This is one of many cassettes that I acquired today from the estate of Howie Klein. I'm currently listening (digitizing) to a KIIS FM interview from March 1990. Upload coming soon...

You set the house on fire, watched it burn, and then lost your nerve and put it out. You now have a partially burned house. Great job.

I get that I am an archivist, but with recent health events...do I really need a VHS recording of a Pay-Per-Event? I need to start dumping unimportant stuff.

Public Service Announcement: "Violator" by Depeche Mode was released March 19th, 1990 in Europe, and March 20th, 1990 in North America. Nice to see everyone celebrating the 35th anniversary (wow), but you're all a few days early. 😁

I remember when the worst thing a tech company did was force a new U2 album on my phone. F*ck Meta for auto-signing people up (including me) to that orange f*ck'S IG account! I woke up today following potus, even though I BLOCKED the account last night!

I've done many mixes over the last few years that have gotten horrible distribution on social media. Most social media companies "pre-flag" content they think will anger copyright holders. Get enough pre-flags, and you're shadow banned. Can you see me here? www.bratproductions.com/mixes/mashup...
