She just seems too motivated by emotion for me to buy that she’s been pulling strings solely for her own benefit or whatever. I don’t doubt that she’s very smart and observant and could use that to her advantage but this degree of manipulation people are claiming just doesn’t make any sense to me

It’s already been established that her part in the hunt plan is motivated almost entirely by revenge and that she cares about Shauna too much to follow through and that her interest in Shauna was sparked by attraction and was hurt when Shauna left her and also made her a genuinely heartfelt gift

Like. She didn’t flip on shauna because everyone else did too. She finally got fed up with being mistreated and gave up on trying to maintain an obviously 1sided relationship. If anything it’s implied that she’s been defending Shauna to the other characters (“you guys were right she’s fucking nuts”)

The closest we have to something like that is her reaction to “do you actually have a personality” where she seems giddy and then tries to look cool which is the exact opposite of what I’m talking about and the looking right into the camera thing in the adult timeline which also doesn’t really fit

Like from a storytelling standpoint she could just be a brilliant liar and not as invested as she seems but generally the show would have a scene of the mask slipping or something similar to communicate to the audience that it is an act and that just doesn’t exist as of right now
