"Well, they may come around sometime soon. They are unpredictable and seem to come and go almost as if it's at the whim of some higher power." He chuckled. "But who knows, I'm no slave to fate and I simply take what comes my way. So if they do ever swing by I'll do my best to let you know."

"Well, I can't say we have spoken long enough to make any major opinions. They have tend to wandered off as soon as they got here. Such is the way it goes, unfortunately."

"Quite a few times actually. It was new to me about a year ago but I have adjusted well I'd like to think."

"You aren't the first I've seen that had those kinds of features." He'd shrug. "I doubt you'll be the last. Besides, it isn't like it changes much."

He was glad that she seemed comfortable for the most part. It was unusual dealing with a new guest in the house. But he was trying to adapt. It was better than silence but he did still feel quite awkward about it.

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

He would give a small nod and show her where she could find each of the ingredients that she may need. For now he just wanted to let her get comfortable in the kitchen before they moved forward. "You can go ahead and start. I'll do some prep for my own in the background."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

He was shocked at how drastically her mood shifted at the thought of making food. "Well with praise that high I can't help but want to have you make some."

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

"Well are there any certain meals you tend to lean towards when it comes to celebrating somethin'?"

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 01/02/2025

"For a time. But we all grow up differently." He gave a weak smile as if he was trying to scrounge up positive in a mostly negative memory.

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 01/02/2025

"Oh yeah, my family used to make really big meals so they needed the room to get everything ready. The table used to be overflowing with people after all."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 01/02/2025

If he fired people for every simple mistake no one would last more than a week in this line of work.

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

"Hmm-..!?" "I was just restin' my eyes. I won't sleepin I swear."

Well, she will learn eventually he's sure. Needs to watch her step around new places after all.

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

And how exactly did her clothes disappear in the process....?

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

"Alright! Well, let's get into it shall we?" Once they were inside they immediately began to head to the kitchen.

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

"Well, I suppose I would be foolish to say no. Though I will urge to leave that for another time after our little celebration."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

"I certainly wouldn't be opposed. Though I feel like that's a lot to offer without knowing me well."

If she were to speak of one guilty pleasure of hers. It would be dancing beneath the moonlight. There's a certain magic to be found in the quiet night. Happy #𝒮𝐚𝐭𝐲𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 🎨: haam

"Well our family has owned the land for quite some time. Almost all of us worked the land for generations but there was a pretty nasty split during my lifetime. Most left to do other things and things had to cut back quite a bit."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 25/01/2025

"Yes, though it was up and down as my relationship with my family was rocky to say the least."

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 25/01/2025

"Well, I take care of them. Some I train and sell, others I get produce from." He chuckled at her surprise. "This farm is small in comparison to many. I've cut back a lot from what it was like a few generations back."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

"You'd be surprise. Horses take a lot of care and so do any animals that provide produce." He shrugged. "It ain't like I am running some factory. These animals require care."

"Keeping this place running takes up the vast majority of my time. So it's pretty easy to just laze for the last few hours of my day whenever I'm done." He shrugged. "By the time I get to the city I'd only have a short while before needing to head back."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

"Maybe one day. But in terms of priorities that one is rather low on the list as it stands."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

"Well, you'd be surprised. It isn't as if I get out all that much."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

"I mean... if I had one I'd probably think a lot. But I am simply not sure if that chance will ever arise."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

"I feel like I ain't qualified to answer just yet. Haven't had the chance to learn."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

"Hmm... well, I suppose we are going to need to get you some new things tomorrow."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

He would turn and open the door for her. "Well, let's get you settled in a guest room. I guess we will figure out how to get your belongings tomorrow."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

"Well, yes. I mean this is your home now after all."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

"Well." He turned to look at her. "I suppose welcome home would be the right term now."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Once her foot was carefully placed on the stirrup he would grab her by the waist and slowly bring her down to the ground with him. "See? Not too bad. You'll be able to do it without help before too long."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"I've got you." He pointed down at the stirrup. "Just put a foot there and then I'll help you down from there, okay?"

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"I am not going to subject you to that unruly sausage party in any circumstance." He shook his head and finally began do dismount the horse once they were at his home. "I'll help ya down. Don't want to scare her after all."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"Oh no. Dear god no." He chuckled. "No chance in hell. You'll be staying at my home."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

“Hmm… I feel as if that depends on who you ask. To some it’s nothing, to others it’s everything.”

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"Well, I suppose the emptiness of this place speaks for itself." He shrugged. "All this time and I haven't even come close to starting a family."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"I suppose that is one way of putting it. But I am certainly lacking in other areas that some would consider far more important."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

"There are a few down at the bunkhouse that help me tend the land. But they mostly keep to themselves."

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

"You seem to have calmed quite a bit. That grip of yours has softened right up for me." A small laugh as they got to the point where his house could be seen in the distance.

000

𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯 @bransonranch.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

"See? Not so bad after all is it." He didn't push the horse to move all that fast. No need to get her in a panic or anything after all. For now they would just trot back down the mountain on the way home.
