With only a few hours to spare of 2025, our little homegrown show reached 10,000 downloads thanks to all of you. Here’s to 10,000 more! #podcast

My podcast about a murdered, canceled comedian just hit a perfect score on Podnews. Honestly, given the state of entertainment, I hope my fictional story doesn’t get any closer to reality.

We made Dean’s Killer Joke as a satire of comedy, podcasts, and cancel culture (with some fun murder mystery hijinks). Adding a government conspiracy against free speech sounded too dramatic and unrealistic but little did we know…

All these Marc Maron clips going around… wild how fast comedy friendships can turn into vendettas. I actually wrote a whole audio drama about that spiral — except mine ends in a murder. Check out @deanskillerjoke.bsky.social to see how it all unfolds

We’re in the top 5 on Apples Comedy Fiction charts in New Zealand making them one of our top 5 favorite countries! Thanks mate!

Colbert has been a part of our comedy DNA since we were teenagers. Excited to see what he’ll do next. However, while we’re sometimes undecided when comedians get canceled for saying the wrong things, getting canceled for exposing those in charge? That may be even worse.

I wrote this show as a love letter (and roast) of the comedy podcast scene. Seeing it chart, even briefly, is surreal. Thanks for listening

Comedy podcasts “felt like the perfect setup for a whodunnit where comedian suspects can all podcast their different alibis, while also joking about a murder they swear they didn’t commit.” I talked to Canvas Rebel about @deanskillerjoke.bsky.social . Read it here: tinyurl.com/3tavunun

BREAKING: Authorities confirm canceled comedian Dean Blackshaw was found dead in a comedy club greenroom after a failed attempt to win back his stardom. With that last joke, there was no way he was coming back. Especially now. Dean’s Killer Joke. Wherever you get your #podcasts.

Why did I read this title in Mike Birbiglia’s voice?

I made this podcast after years of binging comedians-interviewing-comedians pods, where they often talked about each other on their own shows. It felt like the perfect world for a whodunnit -- where everyone’s got a different take and a different punchline

I wouldn’t have made this show without Marc Maron and WTFs influence on #podcasting and culture as a whole. All good things must end and that sucks

Me after writing every day this week, mentally burned out, and seeing a productivity youtuber show up on my feed: Should I be doing.... more?

Improvised Seinfeld is probably the funniest and niche improv show I’ve ever seen

For other #TVproduction folk: what was the one thing you were glad not to do anymore once you moved up but now kinda miss it? For me it’s music cue sheets. Absolutely hated them but now sorta miss the “productive” podcast listening time

1 of the best pieces of #writingadvice I've gotten is that you don't need to write for hours. Sometimes writing for a max of 30 minutes a day will get you closer to a finished draft than waiting for a time block that you're too busy for. But finding the perfect pen is a must. I don't make the rules

Me while brainstorming: Ugh, this inciting incident is not impactful enough. I can't start a story with this. *Watches #DragonballSuper Broly where everything happens all because Frieza wanted to be 5 cms taller.* #amwriting #writer

I hit my daily word count today after lowering it from 500 words to 250 to just one sentence to “fuck it, let’s just brainstorm ideas.” As a reward, I made this account that definitely won’t become my new favorite way to procrastinate. #amwriting
