I know stuff I post on here gets no traction and I’m fine with that. But I do get some interaction on threads, usually. 10 likes for something I post is plenty. Only 3 likes on something I put hours of effort into bothers me more than I want to admit. That’s a “me” problem, I know.

If I put my heart into a piece, I want people to like it. I want to feel…seen…validated. If not, why would I post on social media? So, if I put a piece that’s special to me out there and it gets ignored, it bothers me. I don’t need adulation or false praise. I just don’t want apathy.

I am not cut out to be an artist. I don’t mean talent wise. I mean based on mentality. You have to hustle and believe in yourself when others might not. You often have to disconnect your emotions from your work and I just can’t do that. More to come….

This is just about the perfect toy. You get to assemble it like a Lego, but then when you’re done, you have a truly AMAZING pair of action figures. Krypto has limited articulation, but Superman is very pose able. Blokees absolutely nailed this thing.

You know what is really neat? The fact that I am almost 50 and I still regularly learn about animals I never knew existed. And I’m a HUGE animal nerd. I pride myself on knowing about obscure animals. But there’s always more to learn about. Like today…Asian swamp Eel. That’s a real animal!

That was one thing I never got to try in all my college art classes. I was an art minor and got the chance to take several cool art classes, but I didn’t get to take the class that did block printing. A friend did and I was so jealous.

My cat Trixie burned her paw and got a little shaken up today. We took her to the vet and she should be ok, but they’re keeping her overnight to be sure. She should be fine, but she’s got to be really scared and confused at the vets office and I hate that so much for her.

Special media is kind of like a window and we show what we want others to see in that window. Whether it’s accurate or not, it tells a story of what’s “inside the house”. Some people appear to have very interesting and exciting houses. Mine probably doesn’t seem as such, but that’s ok.
