Seriously, did you not read even the abstract?

Extrapolating current growth (or worse, the acceleration) is obviously a fallacious argument.

P.S.

I think we’re done here.

Did you not read the article or even the full headline?

The FB campus and data center there is not yet operational. The only problems that have occurred (which are legitimate!) have nothing to do AI or data center operations (which will use no water as it is a closed loop design). They were due to building construction.

Ah, thanks for sharing! This is a widely referenced and thoroughly debunked example. In fact, this article itself debunks what I think you are claiming?

I reported and blocked this person, but this is not even the first time I’ve been threatened on this platform out of the blue by some sicko. This place is cursed and worse than anything I ever experienced on any other social media site. This is not okay @bsky.app.

I guess naming my last car “Sparky” wasn’t very original. This also made me realize I haven’t actually given my new car a name. Thinking about InfoSecTaycanSwift.

I knew if I took a little time I could create a simple utility app that would do what I wanted, but I never find the time for little projects like this. But using CC, I was able to get something really handy up and running in no time at all.

That is simply not what the data says. CR gives the 2023 Model Y a 67 / 100 for reliability. This is the same score they gave the 2024 Audi A4. The 2023 Mustang Mach-E has a reliability score of 38 / 100. The 2023 BMW i4 got 48.

They didn’t.

Read the article. It’s about 5-10 year old cars, and explicitly says this:

Musk sucks which is why I no longer drive a Tesla. But it is true they make fantastic cars, and Consumer Reports ranks them in their top ten for reliability. This article is about old 5-10 year old used cars. As it says…

They aren’t, as the article (which is about 5-10 year old models) says:

Important context from the article, which is about 5-10 year old models:

Every time I read about OpenAI saying the 5.1 and 5.2 chat models (the ones they basically say not to use) can do “light reasoning” I think of this:

That exchange started with this reply from her to a thread she wasn’t previously part of. Her first statement is simply wrong. Her second is a non-sequitur and a straw man argument. From there l tried to engage earnestly in a productive conversation, but she proved unwilling to do that.

There’s no language model involved here (indeed, that would be the way to fix this). It’s a simple rule-based suggestion they have. It doesn’t matter what topic you put there. This is the Google Docs mobile app:
000
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 27/10/2025
Google Docs appears to make this suggestion for any use of this construction.

Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 28/09/2025
Well, for one thing, it doesn’t fit the relevant definition of the word. Is incarceration harmful? Sure, but that’s true of any penalty.
100
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 13/07/2025
Oh no, I did. Why did you circle the thing he said that isn’t true, and is totally different from what you asserted above? And in case you think there was any ambiguity, he doubled down on it in multiple forks of the thread.
110
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 12/07/2025
You understand this is saying almost verbatim exactly what I’ve been saying, and firstly refutes what the OP is claiming. Right? Like, you did read it before replying, right? Because it kind of seems like you didn’t?
200
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 12/07/2025
What? No, that’s not true at all. He said he has no evidence. Race isn’t a factor here and I didn’t even know his race when I responded. You’re trying to justify lying.
100
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 12/07/2025
I’m not the one making the claim. The burden of proof is on the person making the claim. He’s admitted he has none.
100
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 12/07/2025
When asked for evidence, he admits he has none. This is the same kind of answer you get from election deniers.
100
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 12/07/2025
If you think they’re lying, find evidence. Without evidence, you’re just making things up. The OP admits he has no evidence.
200
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 12/07/2025
I haven’t said anything that is wrong. Jay made a false claim and refuses to provide evidence for it. Period.
000
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 12/07/2025
I am certain that no one has provided any evidence of Waymo violating their privacy policy and public statements that they do not share information with law enforcement unless compelled to do so by a court order. The OP admits he has no evidence to support his baseless claim:
000
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 12/07/2025
It isn’t “well said”. You’re defending the exact same behavior as election deniers or the people who say COVID was a hoax. I haven’t been “called out” on anything. I am the one doing the calling out. You should be asking for evidence, not defending the lack of it.
100
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 12/07/2025
This person has no expertise on this subject matter, and *admitted* they have no evidence to back up the claim.
200
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 27/05/2025
First of all, the headline misrepresents what he said, which you can see in the article. Second, he does not say that using copyrighted material for training constitutes theft. That is a lie you keep repeating, but he never said it.
100
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 26/05/2025
It’s explicit in at least some copyright laws, and has been upheld in a variety of court cases. eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/L...

Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 26/05/2025
They truly do not. This is what the USC article says about disputes over training:
000
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 26/05/2025
Well, that’s not what the article says. It says they found “10% to 15% of use cases were driving about 80% of the value”, and this is stated as being across all AI value - including “generative AI”, data science, and intelligent automation. Why such a hostile response?

If you read the link I gave you, you would have discovered that NHTSA, IIHS, and Euro NCAP all list the highest scoring vehicles they’ve ever tested as Tesla models. Euro NCAP, who do the most extensive and rigorous testing, rate the 3, Y, S, and X as the safest in their respective classes.
000
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 13/02/2025
You can see what the actual NHTSA data says here. Tesla vehicles have among the lowest rates of fatal accidents, though similar to other premium vehicles in the same class. Also, remember that these include accidents where other drivers were at fault. brandonpaddock.substack.com/p/are-teslas...
200
Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 13/02/2025
That’s not really true, though. At the very least, they have fewer fatal accidents than most every other vehicle on the road - though, on par with equivalent premium vehicles of the same model year. Also, remember that these include accidents where other vehicles’ drivers were at fault.

Brandon Paddock @brandonlive.com · 02/01/2025
This seems outdated? CNN reported yesterday that police said the explosives were connected to a detonator controlled by the driver. They continue to say this today: www.cnn.com/2025/01/02/u...

He got help from the officials on the ground. It is pretty impressive that it contained the blast so well and the battery didn’t ignite.

Not in this case. Police officials have said the same thing.
