If I see these kind of kid proportions I know the artist is childless & didn’t study how the head proportionally changes by age. Normally I call it the little adult mistake. This one is like a Darby o Gill thing though. Toddlers are hard though until you have one, then we get better at it quick.

But reading other 60s bizzaro stories, they do speak backward. I found some adventure comics with a mxy- bizzaro story that reminds me a little of what I’d do if I went back to draw the super books again that also showed the backward talk from that era so I don’t get it. This stack is a trip.
