This Copilot panel in VS Code doesn't seem to like being in a narrow window, despite this panel consistently defaulting to a narrow width.
A screenshot of a panel from Microsoft VS Code showing a Copilot offer. At the top of the panel reads the text "Enjy 10% off MAI-Code-1.1-Flash" with a close button. Below that text is a tall line of single characters to the left (accidentally reading top-to-bottom) with a button to the right taking up the usable space.

Umm... @adobe.com, what are the students doing with your products?
A Facebook ad from the professional scam company Adobe, emphasizing student savings. It features a still from a video with a view of a woman bent over a cloth with a large black bar covering a portion of her back.

Well, that's certainly an interesting product image choice for SpaghettiOs.
A screenshot of Walmart.com searching for SpaghettiOs. There are several options, but in the middle is a garbled and highly compressed image of a can that is hardly recognizable.

It's become increasingly obvious that #Google as we know it has died.
Google search results for 'how many P's are in google' - the AI overview claims there are 2 "p"s in the word Google, and if you meant the letters o, there are 2 of those as well.

Lizard, lizard, lizard, ho. Gotta love arbitrary truncation based on length!

All of the reviews on this item are about its functionality as a USB hub. #suspicious

This headline hits a little different if you're a fan of British sci-fi. #doctorwho
A screenshot of an article headline on CNN that reads "Doctor who sold ketamine to 'Friends' star Matthew Perry before his overdose gets 2 1/2 years in prison." Above the headline is a man in a suit wearing glasses, looking glum and staring directly at the camera.

Ran into an interesting phenomenon just now: broken text formatting caught my attention and actually made me read part of a terms of service documentation. Also apparently Microsoft is "quite relaxed about what you do" with Halo.
A screenshot of Halo terms of service in Steam. The text has line breaks that cause sentences to be cut off in incorrect areas, causing a lot of unused space.

Dear WebEx: there's probably a better place to put two round icons

Wiped my screen because I thought there was some dust - instead, I discovered this very important button on Amazon has a bunch of broken styling under the hood and there's some extra text being cut off. This is the curse of being a #webdeveloper
A screenshot of a checkout section on an Amazon.com cart - the "proceed to checkout" button has some extra dots below the text.A screenshot of the same section as the previous image, but with dev tools allowing some text to be displayed. Here, we can see that the dots are actually the text "Check out Amazon Cart" below the main button text, mostly cut off.

🤔 If you open a PDF in #GoogleChrome, you can see the same icon used for two different purposes: one in the main toolbar to show your downloads, and another to download the PDF you're viewing. Both icons could make sense individually, but next to each other this is obviously a silly #UX mistake.
A screenshot of the top right area of Google Chrome, showing the main toolbar on top with an open PDF's toolbar beneath. Both toolbars contain an icon with an arrow pointing into a bin, but serve two different purposes.

This #physics golf demo for #Tinker is taking shape! Tinker offers support for the #RapierPhysics library, which gives amazing features like automatic collider generation. Here we compare how trimesh and hull colliders work on the scene. #threejs #3d #gameengine #gamedev #indiegame #indiedev

Okay but why does this power outage map after a tornado make me want to play Cities: Skylines? (and accidentally starve the entire city of power because I spent too much money on a monorail) #PowerOutage #CitiesSkylines #tornado #monorail
A screenshot of a map showing power outages. It is a satellite view of a city, with greenery on the outskirts and the heart of the city in the center. Many icons (maybe around 50) of a power symbol are littered around the city.

#Apple is typically known for their stunning design work, yet once again #WWDC is poorly branded as VVVDC. 🙄 I'm not sure I expect anything special to come from #WWDC25 given they haven't really innovated on the #iPhone in several years, but one can hope there are some good updates to #iOS.

Why? Why did I have to notice this slight difference in the #Chrome #devtools that will now haunt me? Red squares added for clarity - gap between the blue underline on the top, no gap on the bottom.
A screenshot of Chrome's dev tools. Two rows have identical content, the words "layer base." "Base" is underlined and blue. A red square underneath the word "base" in both lines highlights a difference in positioning of the text.

Had the pleasure of kayaking a few miles through a local lake and one of its tributaries yesterday. As a good neighbor and founder of a #Missouri #StreamTeam, I always try to pick up trash I may find. This place is beautiful and I'm happy to help keep it that way. Do your part to take out the trash.

Reminds me of this fake BSOD that made its way around Reddit a while back.
A blue screen with a sad face emoji at the top (similar to the Windows error screen) with the text "Oopsie Woopsie! Uwu We made a fucky wucky!! A wittle fucko boingo! The code monkeys at our headquarters are working VEWY HAWD to fix this!"

I've been giving the coding #font Monaspace a try in #VSCode and it's been a really nice experience. My first reaction was that it seemed large compared to some other fonts (despite being the same actual size) but legibility is just absolutely top notch. monaspace.githubnext.com

Building support for particles into the 3D editor I've been building. So far support is simple, but powerful enough to make this train go choo choo! Thanks to three.quarks for a great particle library, Kenney for the train assets, and #threejs / #r3f for making all of this possible!

There's so much confusing UI stuff going on in this simple replacement in the Walmart app. But the most surprising thing is the name brand tea bags are nearly half the price?

It's time to drop the drop cap, Thad
A screenshot of text with a drop cap. A large T to the left spans two lines of text to the right. The T works as the beginning letter of both lines, but only by accident. The first starts with the word "the," and the second would start with "Thad."

Even the big pros make simple mistakes - in this Google #Chrome screenshot, the developers have awkwardly triggered a scrollbar by putting too much into a poorly measured frame.
