I’m rooting for Professor Hannah Fry. If she’s not murdered I would not be surprised if she gets recruited as I think she has good allegiances as a faithful and I don’t think anyone would suspect her. #CelebrityTraitors #Traitors

And that is so incredibly sad and frustrating as a woman. And in the era of the Andrew Tates in the world that is so scary.

I think that Irish comedian is going to really annoy me. I think Bella is very astute. Best question by Richard Grant to Rob, do you have more teeth than most people 😉 #Celebrity Traitors #Traitors

This is what a tortie is like, my aunt used to have one which was gorgeous as PJ Thomas replied they are very different from torties. I’m 53 and have always known about calicos, they are thought to originate from Egypt (refers to their coat) and like torties are about 99% always female.

She’s not a tortie, that’s a calico cat.

Yep that’s the book I bought, it has been a topic of much discussion in my personal analysis. I really like the way that Galit Atlas writes.

Just had the most amazing raspberry and peach jam on toast, bought the jam from the farmers market which runs every 2nd Saturday in Partick in Glasgow. Cannot beat proper homemade jam. I bought marmalade with ginger as a backup too.

Aw I saw the invite for that and was tempted as I bought her last book about trauma and loved it. I’m well jealous if you’re going to that.

The first year is an infant observation & if you do okay in the paper that you submit then progress onto training. My analyst has encouraged me to apply and feels I have experiences that many psychotherapists in training do not have at start of training. I’ll be gutted if I don’t get an interview.

It’s a 4 year training programme, not in a university. There’s two routes, psychoanalytic (have to be in analysis three times per week which is out for me on cost), psychodynamic which is weekly analysis which is doable.

I know in one of our hospitals a few weeks ago Covid was rife. But there is plenty of bugs going around. Hard to say and some folks have had flu as well. I’m trying to avoid getting the cold but it doesnt help that patients/staff come in with it not thinking about health risks for others.

🙏. The application page is about 11 pages, I’ve completed my employment history, had to put in previous training. If lucky, there can be 2 sometimes 3 interviews, pretty in depth.

In process of applying for psychodynamic therapy training. In the application, it’s asking for a short account of childhood, education, family life. Is this expected to be a reflective piece. Any peeps can advise? There is a separate section looking for about two pages of why you want to train.

I’m not sure that current Covid tests can pick up the current Covid variants since they change and evolve so much. If it’s anything like here in Scotland there has been some nasty colds going around at present. A fair majority of my health colleagues have had these colds.

Have you read the Ghosts in the nursery paper? It explains this so well and was so forward thinking considering the time it was wrote.

This reminds me of my parents whom lost my twin 3 days after she was born. My dad never saw my sister during birth or after before she died. My parents just had to get on with raising their other kids /life. In certain communities to be able to grieve is a luxury which is a hard thing to voice.

Not good for independence but also for Scotland generally. He has a poor understanding of how Scotland functions as a country & through its devolved stuff via London. Labour are dead here in Scotland , Labour Scotland is just a branch of London Labour.

That is horrific to listen to. What an abhorrent individual with no compassion or willingness to reflect on his behaviour.

The plagiarism was investigated though by Liverpool John Moore University and he was absolved of any wrongdoing. I don’t know about any of the other stuff. But irrespective it was trial by media /right wing and ultimately led to his death. It’s abhorrent and shameful.

Yes I would agree. The patient & their family should be at the centre of decision making. Improving flow within a service should not be at the expense of patient care and experience.

Jackie @brandane.bsky.social · 04/08/2026
That’s a phenomenal saving, and I can imagine there would be a substantial reduction in hospital acquired infections, quicker recovery time for patients and increased patient satisfaction.

I would imagine Dun Laoghaire is something like doon leery. Only because I know some Scottish Gaelic although aware Irish Gaelic is different but I think there is lots of similarities.
