If a government’s actions in a democracy require masks — if the people being governed in that democracy cannot know who is acting — that is a problem with what the government is doing, not with the governed.

Finally, on Friday, I said it's not enough to defend the truth against liars. We have to attack the liars, too. How? By telling the truth about their real intentions, especially that they hide them with lies. www.editorialboard.com/how-do-we-kn...

THERE IS VIDEO. AGAIN. Lander didn't lay a hand on anyone. Quite the opposite.
Screengrab from Hellgate NYC: "When reached for comment, the Department of Homeland Security emailed Hell Gate a statement attributed to Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin: "New York City Comptroller Brad Lander was arrested for assaulting law enforcement and impeding a federal officer. Our heroic ICE law enforcement officers face a 413 percent increase in assaults against them—it is wrong that politicians seeking higher office undermine law enforcement safety to get a viral moment. No one is above the law, and if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will face consequences." Hell Gate's question about whether the arresting agents had a judicial warrant went unanswered."

ABC correspondent suspended for making wholly accurate observation.
A tweet from Terry Moran reads:

The thing about Stephen Miller is not that he is the brains behind Trumpism. Yes, he is one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of the Trumpist movement and translates them into policy. But that's not what's interesting about Miller. It's not brains. It's bile. Miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred. He's a world-class hater. You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate. Trump is a world-class hater. But his hatred only a means to an end, and that end his his own glorification. That's his spiritual nourishment. 12:06 AM 6/8/25
