Houchin’s only senior focus has been on preventing scams but she has allowed cuts that make healthcare harder to access. Over regulation of medical equipment providers, including wheelchair providers, is forcing some to shut down. Rural seniors face high travel costs to receive medical care.

School privatization is the goal of MAGA while public education is on the chopping block. Secretary Linda M. fired half the staff of DOE, cut grant programs, and moved management of essential programs to other federal departments. Her “final mission” is to completely eliminate the DoE.

When I get to Congress, there are short term goals I can reach before tackling bigger projects like Medicare for All. One of which is eliminating the tax cap for social security. By doing that, we can stabilize the reserves for the next 20 years and work on other problems for the next ten years.

Grocery prices are high, first homes are out of reach, wages have not kept up with inflation, and the cost of nearly everything continues to rise. I will fight for Medicare for All, a $20 minimum wage, more affordable starter homes, and an end to the tariffs that are driving up costs.

Trump disagreed with the 2020 results, and there was the January 6th insurrection. When Trump won in 2024, he didn’t question the outcome. The pattern is clear: When Trump wins, he agrees. When Trump loses, he claims the election is stolen. Trump knows Democrats are going to win big in 2026.
