Brad Hurley @bradhurley.bsky.social · 16/09/2026I just looked up my receipt for the Minolta and it was about $300 CAD so actually quite a bit less (my Leica M2-R CLA was about $500 USD but that included a complete shutter replacement and a few other repairs). In both cases I paid more for the CLA than I did for the camera! 120

Brad Hurley @bradhurley.bsky.social · 07/09/2026I like long exposures for pinhole (30 seconds to many minutes) so filters help (as does film with bad reciprocity like Fomapan). But it's antisocial: when traveling with people I can't say, "could you wait 5 minutes while I take this photo?" So I think of this as my social pinhole camera. 110

I do wish there was a way to attach filters but not having them increases the challenge and I often shoot it hand-held. 110

Brad Hurley @bradhurley.bsky.social · 04/09/2026It's an interesting film! It has no antihalation layer so it gets very glowy; the effect is much stronger in 35mm than in 120. I think I like it best in half-frame. I like it, but not as an everyday film.
