Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 14/01/2026I have failed as a Percy Jackson fan. 😭 I did not immediately clock an obvious from the end of today's episode. I only got it while listening to the podcast after. It teases a character I love very much. How did I miss that!? 😭🤣 000

So take your favorite statue out to lunch today! 0996

Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 25/02/2025I have seen a ton of discourse about the new Avatar series. Y'all We literally know nothing It's fine to speculate, sure, but like we have like a 2 sentence summary of the plot Chill the fuck out You're only going to piss yourself off when your theory inevitably isn't canon 000

Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 18/11/2024I will never not be amused at the part in the novelization where the Master corrects Grace's grammar when she asks the Doctor about Marie Curie. He sounds so petty I love it. 000
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 18/11/2024So, I don't really have time to sit & read bc of work. I've been using audiobooks. I'm listening once again to the novelization of the DW TV Movie and every time they use the British word for an object, I immediately speak aloud the American name for it. Lol. 010

Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 17/11/2024I am not giving people on social media who don't deserve it my energy. I don't have to justify why I interpret something a certain way. Especially when I feel I already explained it. 010
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Bonus 2/2: We all interpret media differently based on our own knowledge & life experiences. So I think there's really no wrong way to interpret a piece of media, especially 1 like ATLA that is so rich in lore we can all look at one little piece and see something entirely different. 000
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Bonus 1/2: I want to add this is absolutely NO hate to those who ship Kataang. I'm of the opinion that as long as ur happy & it's not something that would be illegal or morally wrong irl, ship & let ship. If you ship it, great! You got something out of it that I couldn't & that's totally ok! 100
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 16/11/2024I guess all I'm trying to say is that I don't think I could ever fully understand Kataang because all I can see when I look at them is a sibling dynamic because like Katara, I was the parentified sibling with the mother hen complex. I'm putting this out on like 3hrs sleep and pure vibes. 8/8 300
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 16/11/2024I just feel like it was a little rushed and came out of nowhere. They knew each other for maybe a year? Maybe less? I don't remember how long in universe it was between him getting out of the iceberg & Sozin's Comet. They have this great sibling dynamic and then all of a sudden they're dating? 7/? 100
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Now that doesn't mean they couldn't have gotten together later down the line when they were older. But it bothered me a lot that I kept seeing this 1 sided thing (Aang clearly had feelings for her but I never expected her to reciprocate based on what I interpreted from their relationship) 6/? 100
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Yes they both went through circumstances where they had to grow up super fast, they're children living in a war after all. However, I personally never saw anything romantic on Katara's side when it came to Aang. She was focused on getting him the training he needed to stop the war 5/? 200
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 16/11/2024And taking on responsibilities that no child in their tween/early teen years should have to do. Now onto why this relates to why I dislike Kataang: To me, Katara always felt like a motherly/elder sister type when it came to how she treated Aang 4/? 200
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 16/11/2024I've come to understand that I really relate to Katara more than I do Mai (still love her tho she's great). Even though I was the older sibling, I still had parents who weren't exactly present and I was often stuck watching my younger sibling 3/? 100
Brachio Dreamer Ash @brachiodreamerash.bsky.social · 16/11/2024As a kid I did like Mai more than Katara even if I was always a Zutara shipper. I thought I related to Mai more. Wanting more out of my life and always feeling bored and unsatisfied. But as I've gotten older and learned more about myself and rewatching the series 2/? 110
