I wish I knew what the MLB wanted. I suspect that Fox only cares about an audience of white men with certain testosterone-based issues.

Also, honestly want to know if this means that the faculty will have to give up their PPTs, the Canvas LLM, and Turnitin, and go back to yellowing lecture notes.

Agreed. Technolgy is also built into the distribution of information (and really has been since the printing press). It has it's issues and needs to be used carefully, but I expect it would be better to focus on how to use technology ethically/safely/sensibly rather than just banning it entirely.

Also wondering whether there was a librarian anywhere on the committee that came up with this.

Speaking as a librarian (retired), the bit about students reading texts on paper made me wonder: Does the university still get print journals? Every place I know has pretty much switched to e-jounals and e-books. Are they expected to print out articles and chapters (which some sites discourage)?

Looking at the numbers, neither party has a serious majority. For the Democrats to make any real changes, they're going to need to not only hold on to their own but also persuade the middle that Democrats have something to offer them.

Based on this breakdown of the electorate, the "No Apologies Right" and the "Faith First Right" are never going to vote for a moderate. Democrats really need to think about what the "Tuned Out Middle" wants and how to reach them and inspire them to vote. www.pewresearch.org/politics/202...
