Just got a tshirt sent to me that I bought with The Mountain Goats' new album Days cover on it. Love it.

The more Amy Pohler can be like Chris Farley tomorrow the better.

I'm having some health issues that might have me taking some time off from reviewing new album releases or at least cutting back a little bit.

After a day, I realized how hilarious this Kelly Clarkson bird story is and now anyone posting a serious opinion on either side of the story is just making me laugh. Should be a good day.

Been sleeping on a couch for the past year. Tonight I get to sleep on a really comfortable full size bed. I'm all spread out and my cat Pearl is so confused but she's been extremely happy all day. I don't know how she's going to react tomorrow morning.

I removed the Ukrainian flag emoji a few weeks ago just to change things up, but tonight I'm putting it back up. 🇺🇦

I've decided to take this week and next week and combine them into one double week which means that I'll rank all the new releases together at the end of next week.

Nothing bothers me more in those Criterion Closet videos when someone takes a DVD off the shelf and says "I love this movie. I have it at home and watch it all the time." And then puts it in their bag. If you have it at home, put it back on the shelf!!!

I didn't know until now that Pitbull has a new album coming out today. I already have too many albums on my list this week so I'll add it to my list of albums I'll listen to and review in the future. Who wouldn't want to hear a Pitbull album?

Next week, I'll be reviewing the new album by the band Sexually Transmitted Diarrhea.

A few weeks ago, Greta Van Fleet seemed like the hottest name in rock music. I feel like I've heard no fanfare about their new album. I wonder how it's going to chart after its first week.

I forgot that I added Twin Temple's new album to my calendar for tomorrow. They're the satanic doo-wop band that was kicked off a country artist's tour only to be added to Jack White's tour. I have to say that I'm excited to listen to my first ever satanic doo-wop album.

I wonder how many publications are going to post Troye Sivan's album cover uncensored. I'm going to post it. Hopefully I won't lose any followers.

The first person who says that they're mad that Eva Marie Saint was taken from us is going to be made fun of by me! SHE WAS 102 YEARS OLD!!!

I've listened to 4 new album releases out of 10 on my list for this week and so far all four have been pretty great. Here's hoping the rest are just as good.

Listening to an EP from the country band American Blonde and they sounded great. Much better than the pop country you're hearing on the charts. But then they started singing about bleeding the red, white and blue and standing up for their freedoms. And then I turned them off.

Since starting to review new album releases back in April, I've listened to a number of heavy metal albums that I've really liked. Though the idea of me ever going to a heavy metal concert and getting into a mosh pit would make everyone who knows me in real life laugh very hard.

The only film that was marketed to children that I believe should be considered a horror film is Watership Down. The reason I make an exception for this is because that film SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN MARKETED TO CHILDREN!

000

Brian 🎧🇺🇦🏳️‍🌈 @bpdreview.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I'm making the argument to some people who passionately disagree with me (which I totally understand) that a movie marketed primarily to families with children can't be classified as horror films. When you start to group dark children's films in with horror films, it waters down the horror genre.

I hope the gays who are participating in locktober aren't also planning on participating in no-nut November, or, at least, I hope they thought of this before giving over their keys this morning.

I'm waiting for Taylor Swift to release new vinyl versions of The Life of a Showgirl Deluxe to stop Ms Rachel from climbing any further up the Billboard 200 chart next week.

Good for her. She spent much of her career writing hits for other artists. Her relationship to her music is different than someone like Taylor Swift. Plus she still owns half her music.
