and then for a recent concept, fastforward some more wally goes to paldea for school while brendan stays in hoenn and this time the missing each other a ton is established relationship version

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 16h

A scenario I've been thinking of since like, springtime idk, is some time fastforward after oras wally goes travelling to like unova and kalos, and brendan is pining bad missing him a ton (wally too misses him a ton but is not being so angsty about it i guess)

The one thing thats a mandatory in every case ever: Protagonist boy is tboy

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 17h

I loooove just thinking about gazillion possible scenarios for the OTPs, but still I guess I build a timeline especially when I think of like, a "series" of scenarios along the way… but still, it's more of a fluid timeline with possible snapshots Some things always are absolutely fixed aspects tho

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 18h

Yes my brain is still full to thw max with all of the wallybren fluff. Featuring a tiny little bit angst :3 but even that is fluff flavoured

mega gallade is probably like, my fave mega ever but ive never once raised a gallade in my teams actually (and oras had to be gardevoir so). not in za either and i need to make sure that changes on a replay because wth me yelling over a superdupermegafavourite mon but only from sidelines i guess

otp feels so strong i set ralts as my pokepocket icon

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

At least I'm pretty sure gardevoir was a zoooooom bc of gallade. Its like 12 years ago and my memory's a bit funky but i know my brain and i know for sure this is on brand (also points at the 2 fics i wrote!!!). My brain's machinations may be a mystery even to me at times but I know this is on brand

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Or something like that lol i am a sucker for the matching mons or whatever but typically it just kinda happens based on how i have on my playthrough team the same mon as the rival. See Corviknight, see Alola Raichu, ... and not like zooming onto the specific signature mon. Something something

100

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

No but since oras i like, specifically assigned brendan a gardevoir (aka match wally's gallade) so it's always been there that it would not actually be otp lite, i just did me things saying "yeah just lite totally" cause similar i specifically assigned florian appletun (aka match kieran's hydrapple)

100

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

It is not even unusual for me to realise any amount of time later that i am much more bassboosted about a character or ship than i always though5t so actually it wasn't a shocking hint of a revelation to have

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I also have a few other ships that aren't rival/protag but only rival/protag are otp class, the others are side ships. Even if they live rentfree in my brain the way bede x drayton does lmao

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Last night i thought like maybe walbren isn't actually otp lite tier (aka the tier for otp that aren't like. maximum power volume bassboosted) but full max otp tier (aka where hughnate, hopvic, kieflo are at) and idk maybe i'm onto something there i'll have to let that marinate and see

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

When you have to focus on your work but your brain has the OTP on loop bassboosted

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

i'm gonna be restarting omegaruby at some point soon because yeah :') sad that loss of wifi connection will make the experience a bit dampened and stuff but 1) i really need that reexperience 2) i really need to play in english because i didn't 12 years ago 3) yeah

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

It's so funny how I hadn't played on 3ds since last year when I replayed Y before za release, then i wanted to check omegaruby yesterday and I turn on the 3ds and what greets me? the theme with galladevoir and wally's theme. i did not remember but past!me was a genius. or also had the feels lol

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

last night i thought like man my old writing was charming as heck actually. sigh something something find a way to let myself write like that again

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

My brain had been in German mode while writing these so maybe it indeed had been an obviously rough time lmao. I do know for sure things were rough for me in that time back then

000

BoyFrillish @boyfrillish.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Okay Ive read both and now that Ive had my dose of OTP fluff I can rest. Thank you past!me
