Box of Want @boxofwant.bsky.social · 28/07/2026It's not a specific character, I drew the expression as exercise, but then I just threw some hair on it. 010
Box of Want @boxofwant.bsky.social · 28/07/2026Was studying this facial expression to use in a panel, and I figured I'd clean up the sketch and post it, before deleting the layer. When I have to do a new facial expression, sometimes I sketch it right on the page a bunch of times, from various angles, until i have it down.🤓 1636
Box of Want @boxofwant.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Rough pencils -> Pencils -> Inks. In the inks I fixed her baby face, which wasn't on-model. Also, often the rough pencils are a ball with a cross, not always this detailed. 1568

Box of Want @boxofwant.bsky.social · 05/06/2026Yes! It creates tension through suspence, and It also moves away from the subject as object, and acquires a more abstract nature, in the way a Mondrian painting does. Sometimes the graphical element can get drowned in the meta-nature of the subject, if that makes sense? 130
Box of Want @boxofwant.bsky.social · 05/06/2026Do you ever feel like a crop almost works better than the full image? Looks great, btw. 190

Box of Want @boxofwant.bsky.social · 26/05/2026Yeah standardization with commissions can be a big reason for some people burning out. Although I did talk about it with the client before hand, obviously. 020
Box of Want @boxofwant.bsky.social · 26/05/2026And in color it will look like this. It was to kind of match the gritty vibe of the game. 2190
Box of Want @boxofwant.bsky.social · 26/05/2026In this case it is, because I'm trying a "rougher" style for this one commission. 😅 120
