Today started with a sold out @boweryboys.bsky.social tour of Gilded Age Mansions, then the @metmuseum.org for my volunteer work at Watson Library where I admired lovely books and the new Reading Room, followed by an aperitif with @jbf1755.bsky.social. I stayed away from the news; it was a good day.
The cover of “Miss Petticoats” from 1902 at Watson Library. Part of a display of rare books. The new Reading Room at the Thomas J. Watson Library with gorgeous repurposed shelving turned into wall decoration. The MCM furniture is original from the 1960s. Yummy (and bright!) cocktails made for a refreshing end to the work day with excellent conversation. At Lily’s on West 72nd Street, NYC.
