Two years ago today, at roughly 4:05 pm EST, was the last time I ever saw my Mom. I heard her casket close as I walked out of the funeral home. There are many moments in the days between 7/2/24 and 7/8/24 that changed me. But the sound of that...final, gentle thud cracked something in me.
