boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Colorado Amendment 86 restricts redistricting further than the existing constitutional provision that is very non-partisan. The amendment is supported by Reps who, here in CO, hate mid-cycle redistricting because partisan redistricting would lose R seats. Confirms why I don't trust either party. 000
boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 14/09/2026That is borderline brilliant. With his penchant for renaming things, he could require every candidate he endorses to change their name to Donald J. Trump. He would always be on the ballot. He could also charge each of them a licensing fee. 090

boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 24/08/2026The only thing that vexes me is the DC circuit case in July that affirmed the lower court opinion that the mail-in ballot case wasn't ripe because the USPS rulemaking actions that would ripen the issue took place after the case was heard. I think the USPS is trying to play the same game here. 000

boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 04/08/2026Distraction wasn't the entire point. Making arrests has been used as if arrests themselves are evidence that the vandalism is real. Listen to them respond to questions about evidence by saying "people have been arrested" as if that is itself some kind of proof. 010
boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 01/08/2026This perp was arrested by DC Metro police, NOT ICE, NOT Border Patrol. But it is worth noting that he was not deported after serving time for a felony in 2022. I stand behind deporting convicted felons 000
boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 01/08/2026Worse yet, since the AI model is trained on existing copyrighted works, the risk of infringing someone else's copyright exists no matter how little AI-generated text is used. No amount of editing will fix this. 030
boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 05/07/2026I was always tallish, but never thought of myself as taller than anyone else. My Mom was always taller than me in my head even when the ruler said I was 5" taller. I didn't really notice my height until wedding pictures with my 5'4" wife and it struck me that we were a foot apart. 000

boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 25/06/2026That isn't exactly what the statement says. It seems to say that "caulk" "over" the "foam sealant" was cut. There is no mention of a cut to the liner. Since this matter depends on the details, it seems worthwhile for the AP to report the details accurately. 000
boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 22/06/2026I don't know why this gaslighting example bothers me so much, but it does. 1)if there is a gash in the lining, show pictures. 2)security cameras on the pool (which operate 24x7) should have captured some evidence. 3) water with corrosives should not be drained directly into the Potomac river! 010

boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 03/01/2026Not a good start. "Love" is an emotion, not a value. Us humans don't experience love because we are told to, and we can't be told to not experience it. You must factually report on how America practices the values of liberty, equality and rule of law. Merely espousing the values is not enough. 000

boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 10/12/2025Here's another dumb idea: The reason health care costs keep rising is that we, as a society, keep trying to find ways to pay higher prices rather than ways to lower costs. It's the same reason the cost of education and housing are irrational. We could, on the other hand, learn from this pattern. 110

boulderstu.bsky.social @boulderstu.bsky.social · 19/11/2025The administration espoused the value of merit in selecting people for jobs, but didn't understand the word "merit".
