Worked at Hunterston PS and sometimes stayed in Largs. Passed the marina many times. Did like the traffic lights in the middle of Fairlie. If anyone exceeded 30mph entering the village, from either end turned the lights red. What a crackin' idea!

I'm nudging towards 70 and I experience both sides. My small village is of a similar age to me and is almost entirely left leaning with a couple of glaring exceptions. On the other hand, in my biking fraternity the majority are as you describe. Some have always been rabid racists but others 1/2
