Our NO-HEAT project helped bring four cooling structures to Chelsea, Everett, and Revere. In Chelsea, a shaded bench at the bus stop at Everett Ave and Carter St gives people a cooler place to sit, with solar panels on the roof to charge their phones while they wait.

Our NO-HEAT project relied on strong partnerships with municipalities and community groups. Together, we combined heat data with local insights to understand and address heat exposure on our streets, sidewalks, and trails. Learn more: bostonmpo.org/no-heat
