A few days after I put in my pre-order this appeared in my inbox and further validated my opinion that I'm supporting something worth supporting!

Little bit of National Geographic action in my own backyard. This rare little one is called Bacotia claustrella or Shining Smoke. As far as I'm concerned the little one looks like a Jim Henson puppet straight out of Labyrinth. Magical ✨✨✨ #insects #rarebugs

Een prachtig gebied in de buurt van mijn geboortestad. Mooi om te zien dat er geïnvesteerd wordt in de biodiversiteit!

Obsession blew me away! Curious about Backrooms, it's not in our cinemas yet but soon!

Idem. Linux is net zo een verademing, weg van alle AI.

Kinda weird this hasn't caught on: quality reviews of the audio (and just that) in new cars would totally interest me.

I have the even chonkier version of this MSI, the absolutely ridiculous GT75VR. Got it for free because the battery was dying and the charger didn't charge properly. Fixed it up, installed Windows 11 and now it runs beautifully. Played Doom and Witcher 3 on it to test, no issues whatsoever. ✨

Awesome game too. I regularly revisit it on my SNES.

Get some good quality filters and FXs for your DAW. Things like a reverb, de-esser, limiter, etc... give you a basic good sound if the recording is good. I've never gotten to studio level mixing with it but since most people listen on crappy Bluetooth speakers and phone speakers these days it's OK

One of the local #grashoppers just cleaning its feelers. Another glorious accomplishment of the Sony Xperia macro lens. I love it. ✨ #sonyxperia

I'll have my music on whisper - wouldn't want to miss my ridiculously loud doorbell!

I am, first and foremost, mighty impressed with the macro lens on my Sony Xperia - but even more with the perseverance this ant is showing trying to drag something that must be at least 15 times its own weight. Bugs are awesome. #bugs #sonyxperia #macrolens #ants

Often, when they seemingly attack us when we're having food or drinks, it's because there is not enough for them near. Give them a pond or a bird bath and some plants to hunt for stuff and they'll probably leave you alone..

Oh Zak. You take one look at the state of the internet in this day and age and your solution is: "We need to argue more"? I would argue (pun intended) that we should all listen and smell the roses more.

Funnily enough most wood is antibacterial (moreso than for example plastics) - so after a simple wash and dry it should be fine. Not saying this redeems the board of pasta piles though.🙃

Had to do that when I moved to my current house. The trees were falling down left and right and had been infected with bark beetle. The warzone after they had been cut left me devastated. Fast forward to now and the new trees are all a good size and the garden looks like it's always been like that.

By 2030, 1 in 4 women in developed countries will remain childfree. Up to 45% will be single by choice. Society will frame this as a crisis. Governments will panic over birth rates. This is about choice though… It's about women walking away from the roles that kept men comfortable and powerful.

#Bugs are often absolutely gorgeous, if one bothers to look close. #insects

Had a great time! I was expecting maybe one or two Singularity songs but there were so many and I LOVED it because I adore the album. Sad I couldn't buy the graphic novel though, because I didn't have cash with me. 🙃

Not sure how many people expected @bearmccreary.bsky.social to do a seated metal concert in Brussels - but I was having a blast. Headbanging and vibing in my seat. The Singularity works so well in a live setting and Brendan is an amazing vocalist. ✨✨

Went to the Kinepolis IMAX in Brussels and saw Sinners: definitely worth it. They really make excellent use of the format - with several expertly placed ratio changes!

I really liked the last few M:i movies so I'm guessing that one!

"Son of a Liche" by J. Zachary Pike. The second book in a hilarious comedy-fantasy series about a rather relatable way of handling the world economy... But with Orcs and Gnomes and other mystical creatures.

In Hokkaido, Japan the potato flower is one of the flowers to go and admire on the flower fields - so I'm not surprised it looks good in pretty light. ✨

As a lover of dark comedies it hurts me to say I've only seen 60% of this list. I know what to do in the coming weeks!

I've been too - it was absolutely amazing. Totally worth it.

Really hope The Substance gets it. I loved it. And it came from nowhere, MUBI gambled on something original and commercially less viable - and it made waves.

When you're reading a Murakami and the bit about the Nazis reminds you of current events. That's not great, is it? 😶

Bosfluencer Tom @bosfluencer.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Me too. I mean, hardbacks are pretty but they are almost impossible to read comfortably... which I mean is the whole point of the thing no. 🥲

This brought me great joy and a huge smile to my face. Thanks for sharing! Bookmarked!

Might I recommend a Mighty Player to those who don't have a phone lying around: it syncs Spotify and Amazon Music and podcasts to a tiny iPod shuffle like device. No phone or internet needed.

Am reminded of a quote, not sure where I got it from: "Spend money on shoes and a good bed. You'll spend the whole day in one and the whole night in the other". I love my pillow and adore my comfortable barefoot shoes. Adulting ✨✨✨
