The VA Supreme Court ruling should enrage EVERYONE. Virginia put this referendum fairly to the people, and the people voted YES. The fact that a GOP majority court struck it down, when clearly the GOP violates election laws across the country (OH, FL for example)...

From a human standpoint: solidarity/connection gives hope. Why be afraid if you're backed by MILLIONS of others who have your back? You don't have to acquiesce. It's that hope that drives people to get more involved and create change: legislative/local/social. And that's why large protests work.
