Another entry of the Mario & Luigi Cover Art Crossover sereis, this time featuring everyone's favorite Doom Slayer!

You can thank COD Zombies for making this possible because of both Richtofens!

Today's my Birthday, so it's a shocker that THIS little piece is coming from the Rabbit who does a lot of these Mario & Luigi Cover Arts, especially the crossover ones. However, I do appreciate anyone sending me happy birthday messages, knowing I'm super inactive on socials due to life priorities.

And BTW, today's my Birthday, so I appreciate people out there sending me birthday messages. I'll put this here if you do wanna draw these old friends here for birthday related stuff, if you want to draw them at your own choice or time.

The Lost Mario & Luigi Game that'll forever remain in Japan... #marioandluigi

A Mario & Luigi Cover Art featuring a crossover concept with the 1986 Mario Anime Movie, aka, "Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach!"/"Peach-hime Kyūshutsu Dai Sakusen!"!

This one's a bonus one, as I wanna go for a finish this quick snick. I wish there was shading, but life priorities and the next crossover entries.

Things have been busy on life, but I still have a creative spark on me on my passion with drawing. This was meant to be a last 2025 Art piece, but got pushed back, so it's currently in the shading phase. And I'm a huge sucker for Ujico's MVs, so I welcome Snail-Chan in this silly crossover saga.

Of Pixel Galaxies, Twinklestars, Imaginary Express, Sound Travelers between the Utakata Moon Rabbits. #marioandluigi #Ujico #Snailshouse #Snailchan

A Mario & Luigi Cover Art Crossover featuring Snail-Chan from Ujico/Snail's House. The shading side of things is currently in the works at the moment (which will the final finish to be on other sites), but this one's a Bluesky exclusive, as I couldn't resist on wanting to post the BSky Preview.

Hoo boy, this one's a doozy, but I've been a fan and sucker for Ujico's Snail-Chan MVs since the Pixel Galaxy days. So my all time favorite Ujico MV is Twinklestar.

Originally slated being the last 2025 Art/Illustration Piece for New Years, but got ultimately pushed back due to the crossover concept being too good on paper (aka, I went through the ENTIRE Snail's House MVs all thanks to nostalgia trip and the "COD Zombies Lore Research" to make this Crossover Concept work).

And here’s some good old Tamagotchi x Mario & Luigi Art stuff from years back, featuring my favorite comfort Tamagotchi twins. Clulutchi & Miraitchi gives me those Mario & Luigi series vibes, debuting with their own main roles in the Tamagotchi anime and their own Starlow companion character.

A Crossover Cover Art Parody between Mario & Luigi Brothership and the Tamagotchi Anime entry, Miracle Friends. Featuring guest stars of the Brothership cast (Ironically Mario & Luigi, but ofc, Connie and Snoutlet).

This was drawn under a short quick notice, so to celebrate Brothership’s anniversary early, I wanna celebrate it by featuring Miraitchi (みらいっち) & Clulutchi (くるるっち), being my personal favorite Tamagotchi characters, as a tribute love letter to Brothership!

Ngl, I was accidentally introduced to MiSide, all thanks to this crossover SFM parody video with Helldivers. It’s pure random ooc, but honestly, it did gave me a good laugh. Who would’ve thought a short hilarious SFM crossover parody would led me to getting interested on a indie horror game.

マリオ＆ルイージRPG: ミサイド・ラビットホール #marioandluigi #MiSide #ミサイド

A Mario & Luigi Cover Art Crossover featuring MiSide! And an accidental one that doesn’t make sense, but was able to closely pay attention to the source material.

This one was very tricky because honestly, Mario and Horror (Indie Horror to be precise) doesn’t mix well together if it’s about the crossover aspects, but this was accidental on my part after I was introduced to Miside from a SFM crossover parody video.

So consider this one an accidental acceptation,as I ultimately had fun drawing this one!

Also featuring Special Touhou/東方Project Guest Characters being Sumireko Usami and Mystia Lorelei!

Now I can consider this being fully completed with the sidemode attached! Uma Musume sadly isn’t my cup of tea when it comes to the game itself, but watching the anime gave me a sense of a light bulb of me wanting to do a silly Mario & Luigi Crossover concept. #marioandluigi #umamusume #ウマ娘

A final finish of a Mario & Luigi Cover Art Crossover with Uma Musume, this time the sidemode featuring Haru Urara as the main character in her side story taking place during the events of the main game, featuring Rice Shower, Tokai Teio, Mejiro McQueen, and GoldShip.

The key part of the fun when doing these Mario & Luigi Cover Art crossovers comes with paying close attention to the source material and with it being good on paper, a sidemode can be attached either for optional choice or when there are promenade characters within that franchise with the world building around it. Which is the key fun part when I play with character variety of which characters actually do get the sidemode treatment, ones that are fan favorites, recurring characters, or obscure ones that can work.

マリオ＆ルイージRPG: ウマ娘のクロスオーバー・コラボ!!! #marioandluigi #umamusume #ウマ娘

As part of the Mario & Luigi Cover Art Crossover series, this one is a “Bluesky”
exclusive preview! This time it’s Uma Musume, a gacha game which stars anime horse girls racing with an anime adaptation series.

This one is an… interesting one to tackle for a crossover concept, but I’m testing out different brushes this time around.

The full finish contains a side mode of a special Una Characted attached, which would be finished whenever I have enough time finishing it!

The Mario & Luigi Cover Art Crossover Saga continues… And ‘The Day The Earth Blew Up’ was a brilliant Looney Tunes Movie too! #marioandluigi #looneytunes

Going back to basics this time around, with the minimalistic approach. It’s why I love experimenting doing these Cover Art crossovers as a blank canvas.

Originally, the concept was going to be just Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck with Mario & Luiig, but after watching TDTEBW, I wanted to add Porky Pig added in as the fifth character because of the friendship between Porky and Daffy.

And because there’s no need for Starlow, as I’ve drawn her about 10 or 11 times, Tweety Bird takes the Starlow/Snoutlet role for this crossover concept.

And yes, Wild E Coyote and Road Runner were added in because of the troubling history of Coyote vs Acme, which fortunately has a happy ending that the movie is releasing next year.

Of Jawbreakers, Quarters, Scams, Dorks, and Ed-Boys

A Mario & Luigi Cover Art Crossover with Ed Edd n Eddy. A bit of an unexpected surprise at that, as I started working on this within a week ago with a faster pace.

As for the concept, Bowser Jr breaks reality within the Mushroom Kingdom and Peach Creek thanks to the Eds breaking it again, and it’s up to Mario & Luigi and the Eds to work together to stop Bowser Jr from manipulating reality. Meanwhile Rolf’s sidemode focuses around a farming simulator style game with the Neighbor Kids and the Mushroom Kingdom residents while stopping a foe from the other realm to plot on taking over Peach Creek.

Certainly can’t wait for the next Mario & Luigi Switch entries. Brothership puts a smile on my face of the returning roots of RPG Mario Bros ;)

I wanted to challenge myself on wanting to do the Mario & Luigi Switch Style Cover Art, which is a risky choice because of the limited canvas size and space. I have attempted it twice previously, so this is my third attempt on wanting to shake up the M&L Japanese style box arts. And this is technically a spin off series of the “Mario & Luigi Cover Art Crossover Series”, but I’ll focus on the main series than the spin off series (which is ironically that these are bonus pieces that I wanted to make IF I want to).

But I figured from my prior experience, I actually figured a way to push it into creative ways with the Switch Style Covers thanks to the Brothership Cover Art. This time, revisiting ideas I did before but with a spin that I wanted to tackle exclusively only on the Switch style cover.

BUT, these were made for April Fools day, as I wanted to do an April Fools spoof differently with this. Originally was planning to do the shading, but these were worked under a rush hour, but hey, I prefer not to rush out and make sure to draw with enough free time.

So here’s the English language for the four:

Unidentified Fantastic Object (Touhou)

Fractured Aetherverse (COD Zombies)

Sackboy’s Big Adventure (LBP/SABA)

Sekai Digial Relam (Vocaloid/Project Sekai)

No, that does not mean I'll do Mario & Luigi crossing over with other Glitch Prod. series (TADC and MD). SMG4 and Glitch Prod. isn't my cup of tea tbh, but I can say that Kevin & Luke went from doing Mario Gmod Machinima parodies to forming an indie animation studio is pretty impressive ngl.

BoredRabbit @boredrabbit.bsky.social · 23/03/2025

Glitching between lines of Paradise Sunshine and a society world of Video Games. And no, that's not SMG4 Mario there, that's AlphaDream (and Acquire) Mario with Green Stache & Chippy.

A long overdue request by a user (who wishes to stay anonymous) who used to be a fan of SMG4. I should've gotten this finished long ago, but it took a long shot to get this finished due to my IRL shenanigans, drawing between the lines, and having to understand Sunset Paradise and Meta Runner by watching both Glitch Prod. series, since understanding both source materials is important before doing the crossover art.

Personally, I'm not a fan and not keen of SMG4 and Glitch Productions in general. SMG4 is basically Mario Machinima GMOD Parody series, which is not my cup of tea, but what I can say is that Kevin and Luke went from doing Mario GMOD Parodies to doing Indie Animation works with their own studio in the likes of Robot Drones and a Digital Circus (and the upcoming Gaslight District.) Real impressive work there, consider they've now a stable of the face of Indie Animation (along with a slew few).

If you were to ask me on my art hobby in a retrospective, it’s definitely the Mario & Luigi Cover Art Crossovers for the past 5 years. From an inside joke turned into a niche passion project series, ranging by a team up parings of unlikely partners.

It all started off with Wallace & Gromit as an inside joke, but after realizing on how underutilized the series’s cover art is utilized from it’s medium, I ended up pushing it as a niche series moving forward and evolving it as I wanted to experiment with the crossover concepts. It can range between Call of Duty Zombies, Tamagotchi, M&Ms, VeggieTales, and pretty much anything, as long as both source materials are respected with a level of heart.

Many of these crossover covers are a mixture variety that are ridiculous, do-not-mix, works too good, and could work as game concepts. Again, it all depends of the combination and context of how these could work, but occasionally of how underutilized the minimalistic approach is overlooked.

My key goal and priority as this is a niche series is to crossover anything that can fit the Mario & Luigi series tone. It depends on the franchise of how you crossover it by the series tone, as long it makes sense and actually respect the representation of the franchise between.

And it’s can’t just be the Mario Bros with two characters with an empty space background from the main games, as I have to evolve it by adding in characters to “fill in the spaces” and occasionally wanting to add a sidemode for centric characters that fits the context (inspired by the remakes).

If Call of Duty Zombies or hell even Thomas the Tank Engine can work, it can be ranged up to how the representation of it’s character centric or concept centric of the team up between Mario & Luigi.

And yes, all of these were made out of pure heart and passion (along that some of these with Miku, Crash, Conker, KND, and Inspector Gadget were requests & ideas by people who’s ideas were actually really good that I have to give them credit) rather memes, because as a avid Mario & Luigi series fan, I really adore and admire the series cover art because of how underutilized it was shown in it’s medium.

Here’s this wacky but random Mario & Luigi parody poster based on Partners in Time from a dream from Feb 2021. IDK what was my thought process on this, but it’s pretty much a brick of unlikely heroes working together to stop insanity chaos caused by dimensional rifts.

Made around 2021 based on a twisted dream. A goofy random crossover of unlikely allies banding together to stop dimensional rifts.

Also, that’s Ultimis Rictofen (for context/clarity sake, so people doesn’t mistake him as that WW2 German Soldier) at the middle right, if anyone ever plays Call of Duty Zombies.

And let’s say that even though 2019 me was very different, I actually do missing drawing my characters, as I’ve been pretty much burned out on drawing them over comfort zone characters. I think it’s pretty much clear that I wanted to balance between Originally and Multifandom stuff.

And of course, why not bring in some old Mario & Luigi crossovers. What started off as a inside joke with W&G turned into a niche series that actually is silly. And being a avid fan of the Mario & Luigi series, I’m surprised the game’s cover art of fan art is under-utilized in it potential.

A way to end off the M&L Cover Crossover for the end of 2020.

And NSR was an indie game that I was pretty much invested in

Vocolaid Idea goes to Tom Hingle from Twitter.

A silly but wacky concept of Mario & Luigi with Tom & Jerry, in which it actually fits well with the cartoony nature.

Yes, Mario + Rabbids exist, but this one is a spin to the Rabbids franchise as a whole.

In regards to the cast, I’m planning on merging everyone together in one, rather than making them three separate universes. Part me feels I’m overwhelming myself on creating too many characters, so naturally, it would be to just merged them together as a character sheet is in the works.

Jerry & Zack Main Cast 2019. It has been updated yet, but entirely the rest of the cast are getting overhauls

Dave & Steve Cast from 2019. It’s outdated, but overall kinda needs ful redesigns.

I’ve been knowing #Touhou within the entire 2010s as a niche in my part, but after discovering the wild world of fanworks of #東方Project, it accidentally got me back on drawing a Mario & Luigi Cover Crossover. Funnily enough, this one took about 6 months to finish right after Brothership’s reveal

As in being worked for about 6 months, a lot of ideas of this were scaled back, including Cirno being involved, but because of IRL, work, and family life, it was mostly just sitting in the corner while I was getting used to the world of Touhou. Around June was where I immediately went on working on this. Thanks Nintendo for bringing

Almost, a slew of Touhou characters from EOSD - GFW was going to be incorporated into this crossover, but it’s gotten to a point where this would’ve gotten too ambitious, so it got scaled back. And yes, I actually wanted Cirno in this, but instead favored with Tenshi, because I actually was finding a Touhou character fitting the role with a melee weapon.

The Peach Sidemode was a late addition rush hour, since she’s barely on any of these M&L cover crossovers, which in light fits Renko and Maribel roles with Peach as the main trio in their Outside world adventures.

Probably if not, the most cursed Mario & Luigi crossover I’ve ever drawn with a sense of humor. As ridiculous of the crossover concept not making sense in anyway, #TTTE holds a special place in my heart. Also, Thank you Britt Allcroft for creating a show that was shaping up my childhood…

In a bit of a retrospective, I had creative troubles with this as it was up in my notes around 2021 and it was almost scrapped until my brain made the brilliant decision to add Topham and Percival in as the centric characters with Mario & Luigi.

And fun fact, when I was about to entirely finish this, I immediately went in a full rush job to add Percy and the Big Three in the last minute because I didn't want to leave the empty spaces there due to my instincts of filling in everything.

But, as silly and ridiculous this crossover concept is, I’m happy with the final finish.

Something different to post rather than just art lol, but I find it baffling that Activision literally would've released BO2 Chronicles if Ghost didn't meet expectations or found the perfect cash grab to exploit their fans, yet they prefer newly COD releases than supporting one game's life-span.

This was documented a month back, but as a CODZ fan, wild that Chronicles was planned for BO2 before it got reshuffled into BO3, especially with that Globe Menu filling in the spaces. And funnily enough, Treyarch loved the idea of a Zombies only DLC Package, but ATVI shot it down over COD Ghosts.

As for anyone's curiosity, why this looks familiar to the Mario & Luigi games' cover art? Well... it's from prior experiences of how I've grown with doing the minimalistic M&L covers over the past 4 years, practically on the crossovers that are pretty zany random.
