BlueSky lacks a cultural zeitgeist that Twitter got more than once. With Twitter's authoritarian takeover, people went wherever they could: Threads, BlueSky, Mastadon, LinkedIn. A diaspora isn't organized. But it's been more organic.

I wish it was that simple. Unfortunately, there's still a lot of 1994-ish Dem thought leaders not currently in office that have built a political apparatus that is constantly awkward and consistently tone deaf, and yet the current Dems have to kiss some ring of respect for what they continue to do.
