One of the scenes that defines Zelda (and the role of the Hero, to be more specific) to me is that scene from Skyward Sword where Fi says, "May we meet again in another life." Though reincarnation is a recurrent theme in the franchise, I don't think its dramatic potential is explored to its fullest

I have hope they will drop the FromS style for their narrative completely someday, bc it really holds their writers back. I haven't played BB or DS, but I played Elden Ring and Sekiro. The writing of those games is average at best, but the direction does s great job. Lies has better writing+

I also give them the benefit of the doubt 🙈 I think the narrative found a middle ground between FromS narrative and Good narrative, though I expected more of the DLC. Some cinematics are randomly placed for me, and I think Gemini is a terrible narrative tool (in the DLC specifically)

to me it's laziness :// P isn't Carlo, but the difference is something only ppl that met Carlo (the audience not included lol) can tell. The plot's "checkpoints" are there (like Rosaura stating that they are different) but the lack of info makes the story feel hollow and unnecessarily simple ughhh
