The text reads:

"Where but in fundamental churches and at the feet of preachers are children to receive instruction in righteousness? As has been pointed out earlier, secular professional educators have demonstrated their inability to provide the type of education needed to restore social, academic, and spiritual responsibility to our culture. Hope for America's preservation rests in training of the next generation in principles of God's Word.

'Let preachers run the church but not get involved with teaching matters,' has sometimes been heard. Sunday school is part of the church. So is Monday through Friday school. The school is the CHURCH IN ACTION! To turn classroom matters over to 'professionals' (whether secular or Christian) is abdication of responsibility. Boys and girls need daily contact with their pastor; and so do their teachers. Preachers are the spiritual leaders of the Christian community. Their influence on children is of tremendous impact.

With big eyes of wonder, little children get 'goose bumps' as their pastors' firm hand rests on their heads while he passes by and smiles a warm greeting. He is the one who comforts during sorrow, yet warns sternly of sin's consequences. He plays softball with the boys and hopscotch with the girls. He visits them in the hospital when fever burns their little foreheads. His warning glance quiets a noisy group of fellows in Sunday school. But his soft voice gives reassurance during counseling over personal matters. He is the one who resoundly emits a 'No' to men who want to corrupt childrens' minds through the public sale of filthy books. He stands as a prayer warrior in time of need, yet his fiery thunderings from the pulpit caution teenagers of the awful judgment of God for 'following the crowd.'"
