Went to a antique/flea market near my house. I got a few things. A ship book end & pins/brooches. I really liked the ship ones.

Mahjong today didn’t go well for me at all. No games won & I wasn’t alone. There’s 4 people that play & only half kept winning. The wins just bounced between 2 people. We played with a new set & it’s pretty. I would like to get a set of my own. I enjoy the social aspect of the game so I keep coming.

Just watched Match Me If You Can on Amazon. It was really cute & nerdy. At the end they left a message: “And to all those that feel they aren’t enough. You are enough ❤️” With all the noise we have hurtled at us, we should always remember that.

It’s Halloween 🎃 month. I’ve been collecting earrings to try to wear all month. I don’t have 31 pairs yet but it’s a slow process. Today was day 1 & I wore sparkly ones. Let the spooky fun begin!

I’m reading Stone Yard Devotional & I’m not loving it. I’m about halfway through & it’s due in 7 hours. I don’t think I’ll make it. However I can go on the waitlist again & it’ll be about 2 weeks before I can borrow. Now I just have to remember where I stopped reading.

Today on our walk we found a loose dog that was a rescue & hates people. Hopefully the owner will find her. The dog ran into the desert but there are two busy streets on either side & a bike loop. I tried to approach not knowing at the time the dog hated people but she ran off. Owner is looking now.

I went thrifting & antiquing today with a friend. I found elephant salt & pepper shakers. They’re cute & my husband should like the salt shaker since it has less holes. He doesn’t like the ones we have now because there’s too many & it comes out too salty.

Last night had one of my book clubs & we discussed The Mostly True Story of Tanner & Louise by Colleen Oakley. We all agreed that we liked the book. I liked the dynamic of finding true friendship between someone so young (21) & an older woman. Just because you’re older doesn’t mean you’re boring.

The Calamity Club has so many things happening all at once. It’s making me feel grateful for what I have. Also interesting to see the prices they had to pay & feeling it isn’t that much but back then it was a lot. During the Great Depression (1933) where a lot of people were out of work.
