Finished reading: Meltdown by Duncan Mavin 📚 A pretty exciting read - the story of Credit Suisse’s demise. Quite an obvious basket case in hindsight!

Picked up this gem for £1! Published in 1999. Sadly, so many of the links inside are dead. It’s fun finding the live ones. And classic descriptions such as this one 😂

Today I’ve used an agent to build a simple tracker to make finding a new place to rent easier. “Book Viewing” adds the viewing to iCal and invites my partner. Took 1hr. It really is a new world.

Finished reading: Crudo by Olivia Laing 📚 Read in one sitting - easily done with such dreamy writing. The chaotic feeling of 2017 described perfectly, reminding us it only feels worse now.

I'm a little perplexed why kombucha is a more pertinent subject than a politician being sent to the klink for being a Russian stooge. Anyone?

Self care tip: when ordering things, tick the gift option and write yourself a little note ✨

The front of a gift card which says "Someone knows you well". The design is a geometric print, alternating between cream and brown

The other side of a gift card which says "Matt you fry my air", above a blacked out order number.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #3,996,972! Which I guess is barely worth mentioning 🤪

My first day relaxing at home for a week or so. I say relaxing, I'm a little restless. Hopefully diving in to this week's new books, and some breath work will slow things down

A stack of books I've bought recently. They are: "the will to change" by bell hooks, "The Fall" by Albert Camus, "The Myth of Normal" by Gabor Mate, "Exile and the Kingdom" by Albert Camus, "First Floor Volume 1" by Shaun Reynaldo

We found the tapas - I’ll certainly be trusting any future recommendations from you 😁 Top notch. We are here overnight so hoping to browse for a good few hours.

Not the most care-free to wake up on a Sunday, but a thought-provoking short read from Jonathan Franzen. (By short, I mean that I paid £8 to read a New Yorker article in book form, it seems) #reading #climate
