I'm really concerned about what this voter suppression will do to voters in Dallas County. Paxton really created a huge obstacle for Texas Dems to overcome. It's hard to motivate people when the powers that be believe their vote won't count, even when they show up and wait for hours.

This is true, and it hit Black political creators sooner. I got demonetized on TikTok back in 2023, and my views were suppressed (still are). I deleted TT in January w/ the talk of platform sales. I've had the pleasure of working with Kat. She was a young Republican who grew up to be progressive. Her career has been nothing but calling out GOP BS. She spent the campaign calling out racist, sexist, and false rhetoric about Harris, including in her Mother Jones series. She's the real deal.
