A disordered shout of rage at the ongoing, accelerating and mindless, but totally conscious, destruction of our terrestrial home and body politic for the vacuous goal of the satiation of endless greed

Trying to protect Starmer behind the corruption he is part of and, in the case of Mandelson, supported and enabled. Using the repetition of lies to create a simulacrum of truth and deceive the populace. Truly despicable.

Summary: 2/2
NHS league tables can drive improvement but require careful design to avoid negative consequences.
 • League tables must use accurate, objective metrics and robust data to ensure fairness.
 • Metrics should reflect public priorities, not just regulatory or financial concerns.
 • Clear communication is needed so the public understands what league tables do and do not show.
 • Risks like perverse incentives, reduced collaboration, and measurement fixation must be actively managed.

Starmer: "Because everyone was elected as a Labour MP on the manifesto of change and everybody needs to deliver as a Labour government" So when does the change bit start? - all we've seen so far is an exacerbated continuation of the establishment status quo. link.news.inews.co.uk/view/64d3712...

snapshot of quote from aclu document at https://www.aclu.org/project-2025-explained
"Project 2025 is a federal policy agenda and blueprint for a radical restructuring of the executive branch authored and published by former Trump administration officials in partnership with The Heritage Foundation, a longstanding conservative think tank that opposes abortion and reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, immigrants’ rights, and racial equity. Project 2025’s largest publication, “Mandate For Leadership,” is a 900-page manual for reorganizing the entire federal government agency by agency to serve a conservative agenda."

Trump accidentally provides an accurate description of the nature of American diplomacy “the job of the U.S. Armed forces is not to host drag shows, to transform foreign cultures, but to spread democracy to everybody around the world at the point of a gun.” yep. that sums it up.

Text image of FB post from Frank Torr:

I was lucky enough to avoid any serious illness until I was sixty-nine,
when I was diagnosed with lymphoma (blood cancer) It was then that I
got my first look at the NHS from the point of view of a bring a patient.
It soon became obvious to me that my life was now in the hands of
people from the four corners of the world - literally.

Having very little else to do, I started taking an interest where the
people who were treating me were from, eventually assembling all the
flags of their countries into one picture. By the end of my treatment, I
think that there were nineteen flags, each one representing a person
who had played a vital part in my treatment and recovery. Some that
stand out were a doctor from Libya, a surgeon from India, a nurse from
Ireland who seemed to be in perpetual motion trying to cope with the
number of people in her care and a nurse from Spain who, when I was
at my absolute lowest ebb, was so caring and gentle that it made me
determined to get better so I could thank her for her kindness.

The concept of the NHS is a beautiful thing, even in its current
threadbare state, having been abused and neglected by politicians for
decades. One of its great strengths is the willingness of people from
other countries who are prepared to come here to look after us -
something that I for one, will be eternally grateful.

And that is why I listened with absolute disgust to Starmer's plans to
prevent the NHS from recruiting overseas. This is the person who is
completely relaxed about American companies snatching any part of
the NHS that they can get their grubby hands on to exploit for financial
gain. It is almost as though he wants to obliterate our health care
system almost as completely as his close friends have done in Gaza.
And meanwhile, most of the Labour MPs who sit behind him in
parliament are letting him get away with it - Nye Bevan and the genuine
Keir must be rotating in their graves!

One wouldn't expect economic literacy from someone who appears to believe that the way to enrich a nation is to impoverish its populace and destroy and auction its public infrastructure and services and is so up herself that she actually believes her job gives her a right to to sell off our nation.

which, doesn't say much, given contraction in Germany etc. The OECD outlook is less rosy, see below. Growth is simply not going to magically generate the spending needed in the UK public sector - the state has to do that.
