I don’t think there should be competition between #Daggerheart players and #D&D players. But I do think there should be competition between the brands. #DnD and DH should be competing with their marketing and products. This works in favour of both the consumers and the industry. And one is winning.

The more I play Daggerheart, the more it unlocks something in me. It really does make telling interesting stories easy and exciting, but you have to give up control and give it to the dice and other people around the table. You have to just go with the flow, and that takes some getting used to!

It’s a small thing, but I really wish they hadn’t released the 2024 Monster Manual in 2025. Now it’s officially being called both the 2024 and the 2025 Monster Manual , while I’ve seen the 2014 version listed as just the D&D Monster Manual on Amazon. It’s messy. #dnd5e #dnd

I have noticed in Chris Perkins' APs, he designs a full environment as a giant 'escape room' for the session! Players explore points of interest, triggering puzzles, NPCs, or fights. It’s incredibly immersive, BUT it does require alot of prep. Perfect for DMs who love big set pieces! #dnd #ttrpg

Okay I have to start using visual hazards more in my DnD battlemaps! They add so much tension! Bridges, lava, or any dangers that make players rethink moves & get creative—dodging hazards, throwing enemies into them, or using spells to exploit the terrain adds so much depth to D&D combat!

Another battlemap tip I love is that you should be ready to improvise battle maps fast! Use a grid, sketch terrain, or repurpose objects. There is nothing wrong with taking a quick break in the game to throw a map together, and it lets players use the loo! #bonusaction #dnd #DMtips

Do you think dnd would play similarly if you replaced the d20 with a d4? Rolling a 4 is a automatic success, rolling a 1 is a an automatic fail, and rolling a 2 or a 3 could be a pass or a fail depending on how hard the DM wants it to be. Would mean a lot more nat 1s and nat 4s I guess…
