After seeing endless posts on the importance of “third spaces” I finally found one near me - annndddd it was filled with media illiterate normies who didn’t laugh at my Deltarune references. So yeah, I'll stay ‘terminally online’ - at least until this city has more fandom-friendly pickleball courts

Thank you Mr. Fox, Toby, for having an intermission in your concert. It let me be extra annoying by allowing me to say "no way this is just like in Homestuck"

Nobody understands me when I mention the Wendy's secret Homestuck meal. And yet it couldn't be simpler to comprehend (it's just a Dave's double and a peach flavored sprite)

my sources are telling me that when you boot up chapter 6 of deltarune, you have to answer 100 questions about Umineko and Homestuck. If you get less than 80% right the game closes and opens your browser with a way to read both of them.

Homestuck Act 6 & 7 (2011) while act 6 and 7 don't quite reach the level of act 5, they're still really good. Homestuck really is an all timer story, and i'm so glad i decided to give it a try last year. (my older review here : bongusbing.us/post/homestu...)

Toy Story 3 (2010) Not quite as good as the second one imo but still really really solid. Crazy that they made more of those considering how good of a conclusion for the story this one is. Even crazier that (at least 4 idk about 5) is apparently really good

House of the Dead (2003) Objectively one of the worst movie to ever do it but GOD is it hilarious to watch in VC. boring as fuck half the time, the funniest bad action scenes you've ever seen the rest of it. Absolute must watch with some friends it's fucking awful (good)

100

Yami @bongusbing.us · 23/06/2026

Disclosure Day (2026) A pretty decent first act that unfortunately was followed by some really whatever second/third ones. It's not awful but I think the characters felt really stupid in a way that was just there to move the plot forward which really took me off of the movie. it's a "whatever" movie

The Wizard (1989) all around it's a pretty terrible ad for nintendo but god it somehow ends up being one of the funniest movie to watch with friends. it's just so easy to make fun of and the pacing is pretty decent all things considered. Tho maybe half of it being so fun was the truckmin

Obsession (2026) I hadn't been scared by an horror movie like this for a long time. Inde Navarrette's acting is phenomenal, her performance alone makes this movie worth watching. There's a lot to say about how scary the average white guy would be if he could get a wish granted. He lookslike kirk tho

BanG Dream! Ave Mujica (2025) the directing in this is absolutely insane. There's also a ton of parallels with umineko which i'm always going to go to bat for. I think i may have liked mygo a bit more because the emotional highs of it were so good but both shows are really incredible

Discord screenshot:
It's really good. The directing is absolutely the highlight of the whole anime for me, MyGO already had some episodes that had some really neat ideas (well ok it's mostly episode 3 being entirely filmed as a pov), and ave mujica keeps coming up with cooler and cooler ideas almost every episode. Mutsumi and mortis relationship with each other keeps being shown in really cool ways, and the Hatsune backstory episode is also up there in term of directing. And I think the story enhances the direction and vice versa, the world of ave mujica being a huge theatre play blends well with how the character mindsets are being shown.
I'm not sure if I liked MyGO more than it or not, I think the emotional highs of MyGO are definitely higher for me but both shows are genuinely great from start to finish, I can't recommend them enough (especially since they're like 26 episodes total so it's not even a huge time investment to get into them)

LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special (2020) ok this one was boring as fuck tho i was watching it while killing 100 mobs to unlock dark knight in FF11 which was somehow more entertaining. idk why they picked british VAs instead of the actual actors for it tho lol it's pretty funny

The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978) this movie has: - chewbacca's father in law watching VR gooning AMVs - his son watching YTPs - my new favorite glup shitto, Saun Dann - a giant rat pretty terrible lows but the highs can be pretty entertaining if you're with some friends

Touch of Evil (1958) My second Orson Welles movie and i liked it even more than Citizen Kane. On top of being a good director he's an incredible actor, this time he serves as an antagonist to the main character and it works so well. really good blend of comedy and drama too, i loved it

As you can see, Xbox held their presentation on 6/7, while Nintendo is holding theirs on 6/9. This is due to their core company missives; Nintendo holds fast to traditional (and successful!) gamer values, whereas Xbox is a brand that constantly tries to remain relevant by latching onto trends

Indie games are where it's at for sure (this has been an universal constant for a while) but even then the stuff showcased isn't for me a lot of time I feel like I've reached a point where there's already so much stuff out I want to experience I lowkey don't care about new stuff I think

010

Yami @bongusbing.us · 07/06/2026

FF revelation will be an obvious day one for me but apart from that there's nothing I care about. I feel like all the biggest games people are talking about are either not appealing to me (god of war), or straight up games that should not even exist what are we doing here (persona 4)

Dorohedoro season 2 (2026) Now we're talking. This is probably the best stretch of the manga and the adaptation really delivered. It looks wayyy better than the first season and the direction for the biggest scenes was so good, that last episode was insane. Highly recommend it and the manga

Dorohedoro Season 1 rewatch (2020) Forgot to post this earlier. It's a pretty decent adaptation of one one the greatest manga of all times, not the most mindblowing ever as far as adaptations go but the source material is so good who cares. Also the soundtrack fucking bangs
