a snippet from something I’ve been working on, but also my humble contribution for Namgi day🧍🏻

A snippet from my current wip:
"Do you want him?" Jimin asks, and his voice is soft.
Namjoon is chatting to another barman when Yoongi twists in place to look at him. Nervously, he rakes his hair with his fingers in an almost Jimin-like manner, if Jimin does say so himself. "There's a lot to want," Yoongi admits. And Jimin has to agree, though Yoongi is probably thinking not only about Namjoon's size and bodily attributes, but also about years which have clustered to form their mutual history. And Jimin is simply the newest addition. Merely a month or so in the calendar of more than a love-filled, sexually-tense decade.
"That's true."

I’m sorry for the long breaks between "muscle memory" chapters, but I’m deep into writing 👀 other things 👀. I promise I’ll do my best to not make you wait for too long 🫡 (I’ve been rereading all you comments to motivate myself. It’s seriously better than metaphorical intravenous caffeine)

$Hoseok – Solomon’s Seal close cousin of the Lily of the Valley / has extraordinary influence on the muscular and skeletal system / suited to healing conditions where the ligaments and tendons are loose or tight, adjusting the tension of the connective tissue to the right level—this prevents injuries and corrects old traumas / feeds and lubricates the ligaments, tendons, muscles, and attachments, making the skeletal and muscular system stronger and more harmonious in its actions / has “the intelligence to set bones” as it helps to seal their fractures and set them in their right places / aids in calcifying but also decalcifying unhealthy deposits in bones / excellent remedy for bruises from blows or falls / helpful for animals since “not only dogs, but wolves” like it as it tones their joints and digestion / its root is sweet and sometimes used as food, though its berries are poisonous / remedies for convalescing from fevers and emaciation / gently regulating for the heart muscle$

BTS as common healing plants (from Western Herbal Medicine and folklore) (it's a bit long because I'm a nerd and I'm never chill)

Namjoon – Eyebright

a delicate, elegant, tiny, annual herb found in grassy meadows / white flowers with several vertical stripes of pale violet / its name comes from Euphrosyne, the Grace of Delight in Greek Mythology / an eye medicine preserving eyesight and thus bringing gladness into the life of the sufferer / when combined often with Golden Seal in a lotion it's excellent for general disorders of the eyes so that a person can see the world without pain or obstruction / dried herb smoked most usefully for chronic bronchial colds / also helpful in pesky hay fevers and acute attacks of cold in the head / relieves itchy eyes and runny nose during allergy attacks / burnt as incense to promote clairvoyance / in Germany (translated) it's called "meadow wolf" and in my own language, it has the same name as a firefly

The poet Milton wrote
"Michael from Adam's eye the film removed
Which the false fruit, that promised clearer sight
Had bred, then purged with Euphrasy (Eyebright) and Rue
The visual nerve, for he had much to see'

incredible pen find at a bookstore

An orange pen with a kitty-shaped cap with "master of naps” written on the barrel. My brain is Yoongi-filled and I see him everywhere. Even the color is like a fresh tangerine 😭

Rogue snippet (it really is just a sketch from a future "muscle memory" chapter, but I wanted to share ☺️). It feels good to be writing again. #yoonminau

A snippet from a future "muscle memory" chapter: "His body, a creamy country of skin. An opened garden. Jimin’s made of tiny, stored obsessions of seeking wholeness: shaped muscles, healed nips on his legs from a razor, laser precision of smoothness of his face, hair roots colored to its raspberry perfection, and nails neat and painted with a layer of milky polish. But the scars and blemishes Yoongi finds are cities of past hurts—here and there, a cicatrice of effort.

There’s so little resistance in him to being entered. As though he was truly happy about everything that happens between them: their talkative hands and grabby mouths or the shared sighs which gossip shamelessly about their inner states. Their kissed bruises which—briefly—were messy playrooms for a coterie of tongues. About all the odd things that this floaty and wandering arousal makes people do to each other.

He’s so soft and bright, as though he didn’t need to rely on physical touch to be reassured he exists.

Such an incomprehensible thought to entertain."

empathizing spiritually with my cat. I wanna go to whatever realm her mind went off to

A picture of my cat, wrapped up in a gray duvet like Jabba the Cat or Obi Wan Catobi, if you please. she’s deep into some serious feline meditation type of dissociating from harsh realities of having to wait until morning for food or of the indignity of being caught licking her own butt. I’m so tired I’ve been jealous of her
