Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 8hIowa has 27 points…in the first half. Never thought I’d see that happen 110
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 10hWhen I was a kid, schools would do tours of Philip Morris. It was fun! 010
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 10hTBF, I wear a polo a lot of the time. I just prefer LL Bean shorts and don’t use dip. 010
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 11hNot my crush, but she was in a lot of folks’ top 3 010
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 11hStealing from TW: “the dip is in their back pocket, but they don’t want you to see it”. I will say former NFL OL genius Aaron Kromer lives down there, and I’d buy drinks just to hear stories. 140
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 12hSeconded on San Blas. Love that place. St. Joe seems crowded, but not fancy, which I’m good with. 030
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 17hI’d say it’s “current appointees to the FBI” want to do this. Which is why the administration needs to go. 000
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 19hButkus and Bubba Smith were in the tv version, iirc. Only guy in the film version I remember was Roy Scheider 000
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 19hI could do two plates. I’d probably skip turkey. I was down on ham for a long time but I’ve come back around. Still not as good as bacon or sausage for pork delivery, but it can be good. 100
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 19hRibs, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, roasted vegetables….hell yeah 110
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 20hYup. Too hard to get anywhere from there, so you stay put. Same with me in RVA. Mom lived out in the burbs, and anything interesting to me was a 10 mile drive or more. Between that and not wanting to drink and drive…I stayed in. 010
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 20hIf she’s in the Baltimore area, it sounds doable. I don’t know if she’d expect you to come visit. But taking some “you” time is something I’d hope she’d understand 110
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 20hNow as WHERE to go…man I don’t know. If I wanted warmth and sun…Miami or the Bahamas might be choice. For a Europe feel without leaving North America, Montreal or Quebec City could be great. Could you see your mom Christmas Day and then take 3 days for yourself? 120
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 20hBefore I was married and after my dad had died, I went and saw my mom for about 5 days. Note that I lived 650 plus miles away. I don’t regret it, but I was kinda bored by the end of the trip. Considering what you’ve been thru the last two plus years….some “you” time by yourself might be in order. 140
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 21hIt’s a minority opinion, but from 78 or 79 until 83, I think they were the best metal band in the world. That band has had more turmoil than folks think, but his name never came up, iirc. Hope he enjoys retirement. 020

Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 08/10/2026My kid started reading her first WW2 book this week. It’s a fictional piece about a kid in London who goes to live in the country during the Blitz. I explained what her great grandparents did during the war and said if she had any questions to come to me. History Dad is now in his environment 020
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 08/10/2026The Elie Wiesel book? Yeah that’s pretty neat when a child expresses interest in something, and the parent goes straight to the bookshelf, gets the material, and the kid is amazed. I’ve had similar this year with stuff on history and science with the kid. 110

Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Oaks I’d be willing to try. But Breeder’s Cup at Keeneland is what’s on my agenda as next race goes. I could be persuaded to go to Belmont Stakes as well. 000
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I used to want to go to the Derby….and I’d still go. But 150,000 people is a way bit much. I still like going to Churchill Downs….but Keeneland’s vibe is just better. 100
Resident Bills Homer @bonescrosby.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I can believe it. I think there were 50,000 people there the day I went. A good crowd, but not overwhelming. The only really long line I stood in was for ice cream for my daughter. 120
