Pretty frustrating weekend of trying to get stuff listed on eBay. They turned on their, shall we say, “computer aided” selling tools in the app and do not appear to have a way to disable them. Tried turning it off on the website but it didn’t appear to carry over to the app.

A thing I wish I’d known about Banana Ball before going - it was very loud, and very constant. All of us could barely hear after the game, as if we’d gone to a rock concert. Strongly suggest earplugs if you’re ever thinking about going to one of those games in the future.

I have not finished an entertainment product for a while, and there are a couple good reasons for that. For one, I’ve had multiple high-dollar home/car repair issues hit in the past two weeks and I’m a little exhausted. For another, I’m currently playing Xenoblade X.

2026 completed video games! 1) Puzzle Quest Immortal Edition (Steam) #rollcredits. Gifted by a friend at Christmas. This game is pretty much as good as I remembered it from cycling through all the characters on DS/360. I had a grand time buzzing through with a Ranger and will absolutely play more.

The final storyline quest pop up in Puzzle Quest. I messed up the screenshot of the actual credits.

My 2025 board game wrapup! These are physical plays only; I don’t log digital plays (it would drive me crazy and the experience just isn’t the same). Most played game of the year was the brilliant 2020 cooperative game Regicide, which I would love to see grow in popularity and audience.

A year-end summary from the “BGStats” board game logging app. It shows that my most played games of the year by number of games played were Regicide, Magic the Gathering, Defrag, Sprawlopolis, Glory to Rome, Conservas, Friday, For Northwood!, and Flip 7. All but one of these (Conservas) are pure card games.

Book Thread 2026! Finished book #1: Bible Adventures. In addition to learning more about the unlicensed NES developer Color Dreams that I was only vaguely aware of, I particularly enjoyed the relevance of 1990s Christian bookstores, as a person who grew up in the 80s/90s in a Christian school.

My 2025 in video games! Favorite 2025 release: Final Fantasy Tactics: Ivalice Chronicles Very good but one critical flaw: Shantae Advance (poor sound); Kirby Triple Deluxe (hyper mode very repetitive); Ys Memoire: Oath in Felghana (two bosses render and move at faster speed than all the others).
