I thought it was pretty smart how Dunnett created the series of events so Philippa would be able to show off her combat skills w the blowdart and dagger. Bridge sabotage. Then the kid got caught, and his weapon snatched, then the attempted assassination, then the dagger to the groin.

Ch 4 impressions: one gets a sense that Claes is on purpose needling Simon and it is a delight to see since Simon is just awful. I think he picked the most awful boat on purpose. I even suspect Claes knew Mabelie and Simon were hooking up based on body language. #HouseOfNiccolo
