I sometimes make the mistake of comparing myself to artists I follow, they might post something new every week, meanwhile it might be over a month or so since I've made something. If you find yourself doing this: set realistic expectations for yourself, take your time, and enjoy making things.

One thing I don't really talk about online (since I guess I don't really share much of my personal life on here) but having pain and fatigue really sucks. Like I don't have CHRONIC pain that stops me from doing things, but back pain can make it mildly uncomfortable to do anything except lay flat.

I also find that a lot of the engagement my posts receive comes AFTER someone else has reposted my artwork, meaning I am partially dependent on reposts for a solid chunk of my likes/view/follows.

For instance, I repost my new uploads maybe once or twice before letting them sit on my profile to get buried. Reposts are key to reaching people who aren't actively refreshing their homepage all day every day, it gives the post a chance to reach someone who checks maybe every few days or so.
