So I just finished The Feast of the Goat by Mario Vargas Llosa and… wow. It’s a great novel but the way it resonates with the current era is eerie and terrifying.
1. Autocratic regime ruled over by a narcissistic psychopath.
2. Circle of spineless, sycophantic yes-men enabling the dictator.
